I ordered a custom birthday cake with matching cupcakes and they exceeded my expectations. The cake was beautiful and delicious. She was able to create many decorative models on the cake which came out even better than the reference pictures I sent. The chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream filling was so yummy. Everyone at my son’s birthday complemented the cake. As an added convenience, Sarah’s Cakery even delivered the cake to the party venue for a reasonable fee. I would highly recommend Sarah’s Cakery!

I love this coffee shop! Possibly one of my favorites in the city! It’s so quaint and it really is a great setup for a studying student! They have power outlet strips along the wall and comfy couches and chairs to sit in! They also have great outdoor seating (when it’s not too hot of course ) and it’s very bike accessible. Love love love this place!!

Marguerite's did my daughter's wedding cakes last weekend and they were wonderful. The cakes were absolutely delicious and beautifully prepared. I would highly recommend Marguerite's Cakes. The owner and her son were wonderful and very attentive to our requests. They have awesome king cakes and other pastries, everything is so delicious.

This place is a New Orleans staple.Every birthday cake of my childhood came from this place. The husband started surprising me with petit fours in 2004.Before we return to NOLA these days, we call Swiss Confectionery to order 6 dozen petit fours for $37. (Don't forget to call in advance as they are short staffed, post-K.)If you turn your petit four over, you'll see shiny sparkling sugar crystals. It's like magic cake!Every New Orleans native knows that this is the place to order your wedding cake or your guests WILL scoff. The cake makers at Swiss are talented artists that produce more than pastries...they create memories.

A beautiful space in a converted corner store/bar/house. The exposed wood walls are gorgeous and the space is very adaptable, I imagine. The website says it's available as studio space or as an art gallery or as event space.I was there for a Mosquito Supper Club dinner (review to follow) and it was great space for that. One room was set up with two long tables and a sideboard. The other room held a bar and drink setup. I met a couple at the dinner who are planning their wedding in the space in the fall. There was a note about a handicapped entrance through the backyard, if that was needed. And I was told the bathrooms were off the backporch but didn't actually use them. Really a beautiful renovation that honors the history of the building.

This is the best place I've found near the French Quarter for sweets, coffee, and fresh made juices. The staff are super sweet and helpful. The cafe setting is adorable and the a/c is cool. I will definitely come back. *We tried the strawberry, blackberry & pistachio macrons - all delicious. The Scarlet juice blend was divine!
