I went here recently...its VERY laid back and good for conversations. The service is slow, but friendly. Go up the stairs and you will find a livingroom look...with a narrow hallway leading to this outdoor patio where people are reading poetry. This place is unique...a good place to go to get away from those born in the late 70's and latter. Oh, the downstairs bathroom needs some improvement.

Ok, I'm guilty. I'm guilty of not knowing most of the bars around here existed, much less EZ Inn. I would drive through this area DAILY at one point, only stopping, really for Lockdown (during the day mind you). Friday night I told my date, "There's nothing around this area." We park our bikes to explore *MIND BLOWN*We walked into EZ Inn and I immediately dug the decor. It looks like a refurbished neighborhood corner bar from the 70s and 80s where my dad and other working class dudes from the hood would go. It's softly lit, there was music going, but not loud, and there were seats at the bar....score!They have a pretty decent beer list and they have cocktails too. What I liked about this bar was the diverse crowd. Yes you had hipsters, but there was an older couple (in their 50s) next to us that looked to be from the neighborhood. The atmosphere was chill. There was booth style seating in the back, where most tables were taken. The chairs at the bar were comfy and that's where we spent the rest of the night. All in all, really cool vibe at EZ Inn. One awkward moment, was when I went up to the DJ playing, on my way from the bathroom, and commented that I liked that he played one old school Chicago house song. I think he mistook that as me requesting more, and he kinda got snippy with me saying that he needs to play a variety of music and tried shooing me away. WEIRD.Seriously worth checking out!

I went out on a limb to try something different and I do not like spicy food....like at all.
I can't compliment the staff, beer/drink options and last but not least, the food enough!!! Food was incredible. It was infact spicy, however, it had amazing flavor so I ACTUALLY ATE IT!!! For those like me who are a bit more sensitive to spice, they have a mayo base aioli that toned it down enough for me to enjoy...an was truly delightful!! What a pleasant surprise.
Loved the Red, White and Blue drink and Clover Club. Both fruity wine and beer were delicious!
Can't have rave enough!! Price was right on. This will be on our must stop list for Chicago!

Cuvee is the most refined place to go out in Chicago. Period. Always a class act there. If you want to bring guests and be comfortable in your table while enjoying a superb music and ambiance, go to Cuvee. Security and the door service are always and consistently "top-notch". And their management is the very best.

I've been here a few times already, and this place never disappoints. I came with a large group for my birthday and they were very accommodating with a table. Service was excellent and drink/bottle prices were very affordable. The music was awesome, everyone in my group was dancing all night having a blast. The entire place was super clean including the bathroom, which seems to be a lost art in today's bar/club scene.

My friend and I came in town from St. Louis. Heard about this bar from a old SIU friend. We got there, it was a little small but the music was good. Bartenders were nice also ! We got invited into one of the sections with some fellow SIU peeps. They had got a few bottles by the end of the night the girl who did the bottles never came back with our friend credit card. So we waited and waited. Now the lights was on and she told him she lost his card. We all was looking around before Security told us to leave. Long story short my friend didn’t pay for the previous bottles he said the manager said she will take care of it! Don’t find to many nice peeps like that in the bar business! I will be coming back soon! And the tacos was amazing !

The best part about my experience at Rocking Horse was that I went during the peak dinner rush and the servers let me chill by myself at a 4-seater table for over an hour while I waited for a friend. I would have sat at the bar but it was full. I was ordering drinks and planned on ordering dinner, though, and they were cool with letting me hold up their table. The food was great, the drinks strong and I would definitely go back. Plus, the neighborhood is great for shopping or just wandering around killing time.
