What do you love most about your job?

Helping small businesses grow and achieve their goals.
Helping a dad pay for ballet lessons for his daughter.
Helping a mom spend less time stressing about how she'll get more patients into her dental practice and more time at he son's soccer game.
Helping a family restaurant hire more staff because they are so busy instead of cutting back on hours because they're empty.

I spent years working with C-Suite level executives in huge corporations, the biggest banks in the world and giant financial services companies and while it was lucrative. It never made me happy. I grew to hate what I was doing and what I was a part of. My joy came from helping my friends small businesses and other small businesses on the side. I'd sit in meeting with CEOs and think about what I could be doing for my friend's barbeque restaurant or my chiropractor or how I could promote the charity event we were running for a 7 year old girl with cancer instead of strategies for the billion dollar deal we were discussing in the meeting in which I was sitting.

I knew I needed a change and I made it and I love it.

I love the challenge of figuring out what makes a small business tick. I love the PASSION of small business owners, family business owners and entrepreneurs. I LOVE learning about why they started their businesses and all that they've put into them.

But most of all I LOVE helping them grow and achieve their goals.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I had enough.

I'd been working for and with some of the largest corporations, banks and financial services companies in the world for almost 20 years. And I just couldn't do it anymore. It made me miserable... I'd I decided to get back to my passion. Helping small businesses grow.

I come from a family of small business owners. My father owns small businesses. My uncle was the owner a small Italian Store & Butcher Shop. My other uncle owned his own barber shop. My grandfather ran a small appliance repair shop for years. My other grandfather spent 40 plus years working as a waiter in a small family owned Italian restaurant in Pittsburgh after he came to America from Italy. I believe in supporting small businesses and LOVE the passion and drive of small business owners and their families.

I remember how they all struggled to market their business in the pre-internet era and wish I could've done for them then what I can do for small businesses now. I've been working in Marketing for almost 20 years. I started in television (CBS, New York Times Television, ect). I moved on to corporate consulting with Booz Allen Hamilton where I worked with clients like every branch of the military, Harris Bank, The National Gallery of Art, The Center for Medicare Services and many more. I left Booz Allen to start my own company and ran that for 5 years. I was the chief creative consultant for Visa Labs, Visa's technology arm, and was in charge of their marketing efforts. I also worked with clients like the Postal Service, Manalto and OnTrack Advisory. I decided to take a position as the Vice President of Marketing and Branding with Deep Labs, a technology company. While there I worked with clients including Visa, PNC, Chase, The Government of Singapore, Hershey's and many others. But working with those giant corporations made miserable. So I made the decision to leave and go back to working for myself and concentrate solely on working with small businesses.

Why should our clients choose you?

Why should you choose me?

Right now I don't know if you should. We might not be a good fit.

Lucky Dog Marketing isn't right for everybody. At this moment, I don't know you or your business. It would be incredibly arrogant for me to claim that Lucky Dog is the Marketing Agency that you should choose. It's very possible that you should not choose me and that I should not choose you.

That decision depends on some very important questions.

But to answer the spirit of your question. Our clients give a few main reasons for why they work with me. First, we are not just a cheap leads generator. If that's what you want then Lucky Dog isn't right for you. We concentrate on getting you customers not just leads. We work with our clients throughout the sales process to convert as many leads into new customers as possible and reactivating as many of your current and lapsed customers as possible. The second reason was transparency, we share as much information as we can with our clients so they know exactly what they are getting for the money they spend with us. Third is relentlessness, we don't stop testing and experimenting until we find the right formula to bring your business more customers. The fourth reason is passion. We are passionate advocates for our clients and their businesses and do everything possible to help them.

Those were the main reasons our customers gave for why they work with Lucky Dog.

Those reason may or may not be what you are looking for. Every situation is unique. Lessons learned from past clients help get us to success faster, but that doesn't mean that we are the best fit for everyone. Your situation and your business is unique too. What you are looking for and what you need may not be what we provide.

This is why we start every interaction with a potential client with a strategy session. We want to learn as much as we can about your business and teach you as much as we can about what Lucky Dog does and how it is done first in order to decide whether or not we are a good fit before we ever talk about working together.
