Past traumas make it nearly impossible for me to ask for help until far past the point I need it. This is exactly the case with Elinor. I didn't seek out Elinor initially; she was "placed" in my orbit. I resisted talking to her at first. I've worked with counselors for years around my trauma, my fears, my anger.
