I offer a variety of services all listed on www.upwarddogtraining.com. Private in-home training sessions Training packages On-the-go training + exercise Doggie Day Care & Adventures When assessing training goals and behavior issues, I focus on the family dynamic and how to get everyone’s needs met. I approach dog training from a compassionate and practical perspective, using operant and classical conditioning and the use of clicker training.
Have been training for 52yrs. Were training just working dogs until friends couldn't afford available trainers. We offer great service at a great price. No force, no pain and no gimmicks. We use a teaching method that the dog understands.

Mike and his team were absolutely fantastic, and I can't recommend Public Safety Dogs enough.
Leo is a 3 year old Belgian Malinois rescue from a local shelter. I don’t think he had ever been on a leash before when we got him. He would get wrapped up around our legs, pulling every which way, distracted beyond a recall of any sort. Our biggest issue was seeing other dogs. Simply put, he was aggressive. Very aggressive. Keith and I realized this was an issue that was out of our wheelhouse and we reached out to local board and trains for help.
Mike reached out the next morning and right from that first phone call I could tell he knew his stuff. Leo had already started with a day trainer at this point so we discussed what was going well and what wasn’t. He went to Mike for aggression with other dogs, lash pulling, learning commands like sit, down, stay, etc. He also exposed him to so many different areas to give Leo more confidence.
After 2 weeks he came back a completely different dog. He knows heel and doesn’t pull on his leash anymore. Speeds up when I do and slows down on a dime. He knows all his commands and has great recall. We can walk past dogs without him barking, growling or whining. He lets us brush him, and trim his nails. He seems more at ease in general.
I came to Mike being really scared. Returning Leo to a shelter was NOT an option, but I also recognized that I couldn’t control him which was dangerous for him, other dogs & people, and myself.
We had paid nearly $900 for 4 sessions with our day trainer. The board and trains that we talked to were thousands of dollars. We were looking at all types of ways to finance it or put it on a credit card…it was stressful.
Public Safety Dogs is a non-profit organization. What Mike charges for a board and train is far more affordable than his counterparts, but his outcomes are no less desirable.
We now have a confident and polite dog, who made his first ever doggy friend yesterday!
I will also say this…when we went to pick Leo up I could see the bond and relationship he now had with Mike and his team. He loves Mike, and we’ll continue to go visit him and his family and team for the years to come. Board & Train with Public Safety Dogs is not transactional, it is a community and we are forever thankful for them!

I had been referred to 06 Rounds K9 by Petsmart actually..they said the couldn’t train aggressive dogs like Loki but they had known Chris to be “the guy” for trouble dogs. So I hit up on instagram and with no hesitation he was ready to work with me. Loki had bitten 3 ppl so far and was basically on his last leg before they put him down but Chris turned that all around. And he sent update videos the entire time so we could see exactly how the training was goin and what he was doing to correct the behaviors. He made it looks so easy and was able to articulate why these techniques work from a dog psychology perspective. He’s a great dude and knows a hell of a lot about dog training. Plus he’s willing to work with any budgeting or payment plans needed

I began my professional career working with dogs in 2014 while I was in school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I started out simply walking dogs to make some extra money, but that quickly turned into a full-time job. I have been working professionally with dogs for over six years now, and I have been training dogs for three. I have worked diligently to create trusting relationships with hundreds of clients and their dogs.
My name is Marcela, I am 28 years old I am the owner of Queen City Dog Training! I started dog training in 2019 with a local company here in Charlotte as an apprentice training pet and working dogs. I learned everything from basic- advance obedience, behavior modification, and sport/ protection. I was there until fall of 2021. I also attended a dog training school for a couple months in 2020 training police dogs.

As a first time dog owner, I know I hit that jackpot with finding Queen City Dog training. Marcela is very personable and extremely knowledgeable. She has helped me through many first dog mom problems and was a blessing with getting my puppy trained. I was struggling with his leash walking and potty training, after his training, he was pawfect! Marcela is extremely flexible with scheduling for all her services and my Wallie loves when he gets to see his “other mom”. I highly recommend Queen City Dog training!
Bark Busters Home Dog Training of Lake Norman is ideal for aggressive behavior, basic obedience, chewing and destruction, digging in yard, early puppy education and training, nuisance barking, pulling on a leash, jumping up, toileting problems, separation anxiety sibling rivalry and biting. Justin truly is the San Diego dog whisperer. My wife and I recently decided it was time to search for a private trainer for our 3 year old golden retriever in order to get a handle on some of his bad habits. After looking through yelp, Justin's overwhelming reviews made him the pretty obvious choice. We decided we might as well go with the best if we really wanted to commit to a trainer. The wait was well worth it as after just our first two hour session yesterday, the differences have been night and day. Justin's passion for dogs and helping people learn to properly communicate with their dog was immediately obvious. He truly cares about his techniques being effective long after he leaves. It was so amazing to see how well our dog would respond to us within minutes of learning Justin's exercises for communication. Our amazement only continued to grow once we went outside for leash training. Walks have always been a mix of either being pulled, or needing to pull when the brakes are put on to sniff every smell or lunge toward any passing dog. His leash skills improved quickly yesterday and to our amazement stuck overnight as I was able to easily write this review while walking him..which would have been an impossible task in the past. The exercises to maintain his training take little time at all and we are very much looking forward to having such a well-behaved, responsive dog. We cannot thank Justin enough and would highly recommend him!
As a smaller scaled dog training company, I am able to provide that 1-on-1 personal attention to my clients and their dogs. All of my programs include lifetime phone or video call support to ensure success. My philosophy revolves around not only training dogs, I also believe in owner education.

"The Raleigh Dog Trainer" can teach you how to train your dog in the convenience of your own home without costing you a lot of dog bones. In-home training allows one on one personal attention for you, the family, and your dog(s). There's no need to yell when you can learn how to whisper. This particular method of communication will actually improve the relationship, and most importantly at the same time make the obedience training and behavior modification that much easier for you and the dog.
Our goal is to help teach people how to use their dog's natural instincts to train them into the dog that they can have for many years.
I'm a canine behaviorist living in beautiful Wilmington, NC. I've had dogs all my life and in 2018, I quit my job and pursued my lifelong dream of running a doggy daycare. I often take clients that have been kicked out of "big box" daycares and those with anxiety and behavioral issues. I call my daycare the land of weirdos and misfits, and I wouldn't have it any other way!

We thank Labpups for the best 14 years of our lives. We miss my babies every day but are grateful for all of the good times. As first time parents we really appreciated Trip and Trippers help and support throughout the years. They are more knowledgable than most veterinarians. Labpups delivers healthy, easily trainable BEAUTIFUL babies. They genuinely love the breed and after EXTENSIVE research the only breeder I would ever buy from, the real deal.
