I am a seasoned balanced dog trainer. I learned from a master in the Bay Area California. I learned what it takes to be your dog's thoughtful powerful leader. It takes patience, clear language and fair commands. This recipe works for all temperaments, ages and breeds. I do have an expertise in complex behaviors like aggression, fear, and anxiety. It can be very stressful to have a reactive or nervous dog.

I have come to Cause and Effect Dog Training, namely Kathy Kear, for help with two of my very fiesty Labrador retrievers. Kathy has taught me how to take and maintain leadership with my dogs. She's also helped me understand what my dogs are telling me with their behavior. What a difference her help has made in my life!!! My dogs are good companions now and I am in control! Thank you Kathy for all you have taught me!

Jordan is the owner and head trainer of Mantra K9 Training. She has been involved in the dog industry for 7 years and has had a passion for working with dogs since she was small. Her parents originally nicknamed her Boo, but it soon developed into “Dr. Boo Little”. Since then, she has been pursuing career opportunities that involved dogs. At the beginning of her journey, dog nutrition piqued her interest. She delved into her studies and emerged creating a personalized diet plan for her dogs and her interest only grew from there. Eventually, she was admitted to California Polytechnic University SLO where she majored in animal science, furthering her research in nutrition and veterinary medicine. She was offered a few opportunities as a vet tech at multiple veterinary hospitals and spent about a year pursuing her career in veterinary science. Until she found dog training, that is. Dog training began as something that she did on her own with her personal dog, Mowgli, and—at the time—was just a hobby. Her hobby grew when she started attending various seminars and working alongside highly advanced trainers in order to learn different methods of training. Moving forward to today, she has trained Mowgli into becoming her service dog and furthers her research into the depths of the dog industry with her sport dog, Kronos. They are working towards earning a title in the bite work sport called PSA. Additionally, she has assisted in birthing and whelping many litters of puppies in hopes to better understand the relationship between genetics and behavior. Jordan has since been running her own small business where she hopes to support you and your dog on your journey. BOARD AND TRAINS ONLY
I've always loved and knew I wanted to work with dogs, ever since I was born. I originally wanted to become a vet and went to Cal Poly SLO to get my degree in veterinary science. I even worked as a vet tech at multiple different hospitals, but also saw how many dogs were medicated for behavioral issues. That's around when I began my journey into dog training. My favorite part is establishing a line of communication between owner and pet. The relief that training brings to the client and their life is astonishing and I wouldn't trade it for the world.
I've always wanted to start my own dog training business since I entered the industry. However, I finally feel I have enough knowledge and experience to share on my own.
My clients and their dogs are treated as if they were my family. I dedicate most of my time and energy to running my business properly and giving the dogs what they need to succeed long term. My main goal is to train the dog and teach you how to communicate with your dog and maintain that training.
I do not provide online or remote service unless you're interested in a nutrition consultation.
