Are you looking for someone who is understanding and non-judgmental to help you out of a stuck place? If you are feeling sad, anxious, afraid, overthinking, etc I can help you find your way to a happier you. I specialize in Autism, specifically Level 1 (formerly known as Aspergers). I have two specialist certifications in Autism as well (CAS, CASDCS). Not on the spectrum? I also work with anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, and relationship issues. I see clients in office and/or telehealth. Under my LPC (counseling), I can only see clients in Oklahoma. Life Coaching is available to anyone anywhere. What is the difference between Counseling and Life Coaching? An LPC (counselor) is a licensed mental health professional who is trained to diagnose and treat mental health disorders. A counselor focuses on understanding, resolving and healing emotional trauma and pain carried through from the past. Therapists are trained to treat mental illness or other significant emotional and relational concerns. Coaching is action orientated, versus counseling is coping orientated. Coaches want to help you recognize what you think versus counselors also want to help you realize how you feel. Coaching helps you set and achieve goals versus counseling helps you recognize and solve your problems in life. Coaching works well for Autism education.

What do you love most about your job?

I love being able to help educate my clients on understanding Autism. I know what it is like first hand to be given a diagnosis, and just thrown back out into the world not knowing where to go, or what to do. I love to help people understand ASD so they aren't working against themselves.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I kept getting well intentioned, but very wrong, advice on things to do with my ASD kids. I started realizing that when I did what I felt was right for my kids, things went better. I decided that I wanted to get my LPC so that I could help others in my situation. I know how hard it can be to find someone who understands the ins and outs of ASD.

Why should our clients choose you?

I have two Autism Specialist Certifications. My two children and I, are on all on the Spectrum as well. You won't have to explain picky eating, sensory issues, etc to me. I can actually explain why things happen the way they do for you!

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

I prefer telehealth at this time if possible. Arrangements can be made if it needs to be in office, but availability will be more difficult.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

I mostly use telehealth now because of the Covid-19 scare. I had to change a lot of things in my practice due to COVID-19, and I might start office sessions again.
