My husband and I flew in last night. My neck, back and shoulder was bothering me so much that I wasn't able to turn my head. My husband called Mylene in the morning and with Mylene's quick response, I was able to book an appointment with her in the afternoon. I echo the sentiments of another reviewer here: Mylene saved my vacation. I'd had some back/hip pain before I left home, and I was trying to "relax" it away, but suddenly on our second-to-last day it was WAY worse. I could barely walk or go from sitting to standing (and vice-versa) and I was in tears. We considered: urgent care or general practitioner? No, they would just give me pain killers and muscle relaxers, which make me sick and don't fix anything. I yelped Physical Therapists, but nothing stood out. So I tried Massage Therapists and Mylene's listing grabbed my attention due to the aforementioned review. I called, she had an appointment available 4 hours later. Her massage is strong, sharp at times, and intuitive. She was kind and gentle (in speech) while finding all of the muscles that were contracted or in spasm. When we were done I felt better, then continued to improve over the day into evening, resting as advised. After dinner I felt almost normal! Tonight we fly out and I'm still doing so much better than I was yesterday morning! Saw Mylene for a deep tissue treatment. I am a bodybuilder and need deep work to relieve muscle tension. She is very gifted and is very in tune with the body! ! She knows where all the sore spots are and hones in on them them like a massage ninja. I had a one hour HILOT session (which equates to more than two hours of standard deep tissue Swedish massage, which I what I'm use to). I feel fantastic!! I always have issues with my right side (mostly right shoulder). She knew this within seconds. I LOVED the shoulder work! Never received work like that around and on the shoulder blades. Mylene saved my vacation. I had a sciatica and was not even able to walk. I found her through the yelp reviews. She took me in right away and gave me one of the best massage ever, relieving me of the pain and getting me back on my feet. If you are in Kauai, and you are in need of a massage... do yourself a favor and make an appointment with Mylene. This was the best and most painful massage I have ever had. I say painful in the best way possible though. Mylene worked every joint of my body, releasing pressure and tension I might not have even known existed. I left so loose and relaxed, it was amazing. Mylene is so sweet and calming in her demeanor. She did a fantastic job, strong but soft and focused. I felt great afterwards, taller and more flexible. My wife and I are vacationing in Kaua'i and my wife booked us both massages today. My wife has had massages all her life but it was my first massage. First off, it was very deep. She worked out muscles I didn't even know existed! She got rid of so many knots in my back and legs. I feel like a new man! Don't be discouraged by the residential neighborhood. There is a waiting room and a massage room that is very private and makes it easy to relax. Mylene is so sweet, she will put you at ease right away. Be prepared for her handshake! She has a really strong grip! I guess her hands get quite a workout, but my body can't thank her enough. Wow, what an amazing massage! I went the day after I landed for 1 1/2 hrs and then squeezed in a 1hr massage before my flight out because she is truly amazing. I wish Mylene was in NYC because I would go regularly. I'm pregnant and having back pain. She knew exactly where my knots were and it truly felt like a healing massage vs a standard relaxing massage. Absolutely amazing! I feel fantastic! I asked for deep tissue and you possibly couldn't get any deeper. It was so effective in a "hurts so good" type of way. My husband booked a massage for me while we were vacationing on Kauai in December. At first I wasn't sure I was at the right place because we were in a neighborhood and the address was a house. Don't let the fact that Mylene works out of her home throw you. She has a great set up, very comfortable, private and professional. Mylene made me feel at ease right away and gave me a fabulous massage, incorporating some deep tissue work as well. She knew exactly what areas needed the most work and she worked out a lot of kinks and tension that had accumulated over a long period of neglect. I felt very relaxed afterwards, however I was sore the next two days and had some occasional headaches.
