The project was a small home renovation with a total budget of roughly $20,000. Micron was able to manage the project to high standard of quality in a tight timeframe. Managing the schedule was particularly impressive since so many subcontractors are busy right now with big jobs it can be difficult to get them to commit to a schedule for a small job. We hired Kevin and his team for a room addition,Wraparound deck, and a full under deck, for the ultimate outdoor living experience. He did not disappoint. Kevin is high end without breaking the bank. He is professional and stays involved throughout the entire job. His team is meticulous about clean up so we never had any issues with our HOA. We were so pleased with our outdoor living space that we asked Kevin to come back to add a full bathroom in our basement. The bathroom is spectacular, it is so nice that we will likely need to have Micron come back to update our Master Bath. I have my own ideas and I know what I like and what I want, but I did appreciate that Kevin was able to take my ideas to the next level, he stays abreast of the latest home improvement trends and tries to match them to your taste. Our commercial building was in need of a roof overhaul; the scope of the project involved replacing deteriorated decking, re-flashing of chimneys, drip edge install, new boots on vent stack and new shingle installation. Micron was highly recommended by a client so we had them take a look at our project. Kevin was was a true professional, took time to understand our needs and provided us with a clear outline of project details, price and projected start and completion dates. My husband and I hired Micron Construction to do a complete overhaul of the exterior of our home. The work included a new deck, siding, Windows, doors and a roof. Kevin Hawkins appeared exactly when he said he would and proceeded to carefully measure my roof area and drew a diagram of the whole thing. He then gave me a price that was below the average for roofs in this area. He told me about some new methods and roofing devices that have never been used on my roof before. The job included some gutter repair and some new gutter with downspouts. During the negotiations I mentioned that having the house painted would be next on my agenda so he promptly quoted me an excellent price to paint the house. I hired him to do the roof replacement (because the roof was very old - no insurance was involved) and his crew showed up at 7:30 am on the appointed day and worked all day until nightfall and in two days the job was finished. So then I hired him to do the house painting. Again, the crew showed up and worked all day again for three days but on the last day they were held up by rain and so it took longer. But they finally got the job done and now my house looks as good or better than it ever has and I am happy with the excellent job done. This paint crew started out by pressure washing the house and they did things that no other painter has ever done before such as removing the storm window frames and outside light fixtures before painting. They scraped and removed peeling paint, they painted the front and back porch floors and they remembered to paint my mail box post too. I'm totally happy with these jobs and I give this bunch five stars. Kevin hinted that he might be able to replace my 27 old wood type windows with vinyl windows for about the same price as the roof, but that's for another day - way off in the future - maybe will never come. Kevin worked diligently with my homeowners insurance company to get the proper reimbursement for our roof replacement (and that was no short or easy task). The installers were prompt and did a really good job. Friends told me that many roofers leave messes behind but Micron Constuction did a great clean up job.
