I came to Carlsbad Dental Associates about a year ago, after not having gone to the dentist in over 2 or 3 years during grad school. I knew I would need some work done, so I did my research on good dentists near me and found CDA. They deserve the high ratings! Despite needing two root canals and a handful of cavities, I have felt so welcomed and taken care of here. Dr. Chang was SO kind and accommodating that I forgot how much pain I was in before I needed an emergency root canal. Dr. Brown is always upbeat, reassuring, and a true pleasure to be around. I stumbled upon the Carlsbad Dental Associates because they were near my work. Little did I know how pleasant of a coincidence it was. I hadn't been to the dentist in over 5 years, which resulted in two cavities and a deep cleaning. Varonica was fantastic and talked me through each step of the process to ensure there were no surprise sounds or feelings. She was impressively good at administering the anesthesia as well, I did not feel a thing. I also learned a lot about my teeth and overall dental health through the x-rays and pictures. Let me start off by stating this review by saying I give 5 staffs to Dr. Partick Huston and his dental staff... not the office staff. First the good stuff! Dr. Partick Huston is amazing dentist. Very reasonable with his treatment plans and seems to genuinely care for his patient's best interest. Very knowledge in his field as well. He took time after the procedure to draw out the best graphic to help me understand the procedure. For such an uncomfortable procedure, I'm very happy with my experience. Its too soon to talk about results but highly recommend from an experience standpoint. Since I had a rather expensive and serious surgery, I did consult about 5 local dentists and ultimately choose Dr. Huston.  Would highly recommend Dr. Huston for your gum needs :) As far as the office/billing staff, they are slightly disorganized. They had the wrong insurance on my bill and tried to have me pay a deductible much higher than my plan. Also, I had to hound them to get my preapproval from my insurance. I told the staff that I wanted to do this procedure in 2018 to use my benefits and due to the lack of communicate from the staff I almost didn't get to have it done this year. They received my preapproval and never called me. I got a copy in the mail and had to followup with them. Lucky I really liked the dentist so I pushed and jumped through all the hoops. But the front staff really needs to be more organized and more professional. I am 62 years old and this is the best dentist office I have ever been to. everyone  is happy , competent and accommodating. Veronica is absolutely the best!! There was no pain in my cleaning and her bedside manner is incredible . she made me feel so comfortable and relaxed . Also they followed up on my insurance and told me exactly what it would cover and what I could do and even offered several options to me . I cannot say enough great things about this dentist.  I was timid about finding a new dentist when I moved to Carlsbad and I found Carlsbad Dental Associates. I knew right away that they were going to be my long term dentist.  The office is very clean and everyone there is always very kind and thorough.  I have had Dr. Adourian and Dr. Brown who are incredible, compassionate and great at what they do.  I have consistently worked with Justin and Crystal and they are amazing as well!  They changed the way I looked at my daily oral care routine by taking the time to thoroughly educate me and walking me through every detail.  They have the best memory and I feel welcomed every time, even if I am not their patient that day they make a point in saying hi and making me feel comfortable.  I recently had a new hygienist to me, Veronica, and she was very friendly and detail oriented.  Everything from routine cleanings to extraction and implant was easy and relatively pain free.  I cannot say enough great things about this team!  I recommend EVERYONE I know to go there! I love this group! I had to have a deep cleaning which can be costly. My Hygenist, Varonica took time explaining the procedure and during my cleaning decided I did not need to have the Laser. This saved me $100 on each side! Even the Dentists did not pressure me into making any decisions wven though I need a lot of work done on my teeth! What an wonderful place this is. I'm a new patient and have been here on two separate occasions so far, and each time was as good as a dentist office gets. Friendly staff to greet you, amazingly knowledgeable and down-to-earth hygienists and dentists to make you feel comfortable as well as educated about what's going on in your mouth. I actually LEARN things about my teeth and oral hygiene (ie. the "why") rather than getting lectured with the same old "brush and floss because you have to" routine. I have always had an extreme fear of the dentist & I have to say that I couldn't be happier with the level of service that I receive with this office. ..not only do they take the time to listen they are always willing to make sure you feel comfortable with your treatment plan. This is one of the first offices that I haven't felt pressured into procedures and always feel like I am being told the honest truth about what's needed and when. I love my hygienist Veronica and feel like I am getting all of her attention and care when i'm in her chair! Out-of-towner--Best experience ever! Well, as far as emergency dental situations not in your home state are concerned anyhow. Smashed my front tooth on a ride at Seaworld on our first day of vacation with a City Pass to Sea world, Legoland, and Disneyland and started to freak out because my tooth was literally obliterated the first day of our fun trip. Anyhow, I called to like 30 different dentists within a 50 mile radius and these guys were the only ones who could fit me in first thing the next morning.  The work only took about a half hour and I was still back in time to wait with the family at Legoland before the gates opened. Best root canal ever! Dr. Park-Nah is amazing. The whole experience at Carlsbad dental Associates was great. I began experiencing tooth pain a few weeks ago over the weekend. On the following Monday, they gave me an appointment that same day. I was seen promptly after I arrived and the staff was very helpful. Dr. Adourian quickly identified the source of the pain and referred me to their in house endodontist, Dr. Park-Nah.  Unfortunately, I have had 2 other root canals in the past. They were unpleasant and left me with residual pain following the procedure. This root canal was painless and left me with no discomfort the next day at all! In my three visits, I have met three of the dentists in the office, Dr. Adourian, Dr. Brown, and Dr. Park-Hah, and am impressed with the skill and professionalism of all three as well the staff members. I just switched to Carlsbad Dental and I have no complaints. The staff was incredibly friendly. I filled out my paperwork and was called to the back within 5 minutes to get started. The assistant and Dr. Brown were very funny and friendly. I haven't been to the dentist in about 5 years so I was expecting them to try to up charge me for at least a deep cleaning but they said my teeth were good and didn't take advantage. I've been a patient of Carlsbad Dental Associates for nearly 15 years and trust these Dentist with my smile.  I just got my implant today and it is beautiful matching perfectly and I was missing 2 teeth at birth so my teeth  are not the normal setup.  That being said I have had my share of other dental issues and I wouldn't go anywhere else to have it done. This is the only Dentist Office I will go to. I have been a patient for several years but usually chicken out of going for any procedures or follow ups after my cleanings. Recently however,  I chipped my front tooth. Well, my S/O did as we were playing a little too hard one evening and *splat* went my face into the tiled kitchen floor. I went on as an Emergency client the next day and the Dr advised me of my options. For me, this was terrifying, seeing my little chipped tooth become a nub and then a temp veneer popped onto it.....The whole thing was a nightmare BUT Dr. Adourian, his assistant and the front office staff were super reassuring, kind, assisted with payment plans and gentle with me. My smile looks a tad off for the time being but I dont look like Jim Carey from Dumb & Dumber anymore and hopefully the Permanant Veneer will be an even better match. More...

I started coming to Carlsbad Dental Associates in January of this year. I am not a huge fan of going to the dentist however the front desk staff, Dr. Ed, and Dr. Mudd are truly some of the best and professional people I've met in this field. The front desk is able to talk me through my plan with what is covered on my insurance and helps me prepare for any future dental work that I may need. Dr. Ed has helped guide and suggest recommendations for what I need take care of with my dental hygiene. He never tries to hard sell me on what I need which is what I love. He offers honest and respectful suggestions on what I should do. Dr. Mudd helped remove my wisdom teeth and he did a quick and painless job of removing my teeth. I was always terrified of removing my wisdom teeth but the staff and the doctors always help reassure you when it comes to make sure you feel safe and prepared. I highly recommend this place! I am not a big fan of dental visits, but Dr. Adourian and his team are fantastic.  Desiree at the front desk has been extremely helpful, pleasant and accommodating.  I needed an extraction on a molar and Dr. Adourian was very patient and gentle taking it out.  He eased my anxiety and took his time - even had a few breaks in between.  His associate, Justin, is also amazing.  He is a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to making a crown.  I got the Cerec crown and Justin took the molds and made the crown to fit precisely - he's an artist.All in all - great office - great staff - great care. Who gets  excited about the Dentist Well if you gotta go you gotta go there's no two ways about it but at least the staff at Carlsbad Dental make it it convenient with Saturday appointments I can't say enough positive things about dr. Brown and his staff the first time I was in was for an emergency and now I visit for  general maintenance I've never had a dentist actually clean my teeth it's always been the staff hygienist  so you can imagine  the surprise  I had when Dr Brown examined and then , proceeded to clean my teeth dr. These negative reviews are outrageous, and the one about Jill is just sad. Before I even made an appointment she bended over backwards to help me, and even on the day I showed up unprepared she still assisted me. The ladies in the front were very kind and extremely helpful. The Doctor himself was easy going gentle and explained everything he was doing which was definitely reassuring. The gentleman that assisted him I believe his name was Cole, was kind and always making sure I was relaxed and comfortable. Hands down the best place I've been to in a very long time. Wow, these negative reviews on here are strange to see! My family, and several neighbors (since we live really close to this office), have been patients since it was Open 7 Days Dental. We liked it then, but noticed a BIG improvement when Dr. Adorian bought the practice and it became Carlsbad Dental Assoc. We LOVE Dr. Adorian and Krystal! There has been turn over in the front office, but we always thought it was for the better! This staff has helped us with insurance issues regarding orthodontics, crowns, etc.. and we always thought the explanation was fair. The work that Dr. Adorian does is beautiful, and Krystal is sweet and helpful. They are great with our kids too (who are very high energy, but sit nicely, totally entertained by the cartoons with headphones). Dr. Brown is really wonderful with kids too! Our whole family has come in several times for exams and cleanings, even kid related mouth traumas, and left with no additional work recommended. We feel like Dr. Adorian is really conservative about his work, and only does what is necessary, and this is the big reason why we are his LOYAL patients! More...

The staff was amazing to start. The waiting area feels open and bright compared to a lot of other places I have been. I was seen in time and it did not take long at all. The guy who did my X-rays was really nice and friendly. We talked about random stuff while he shot the pictures.I didn't talk with dr. I wanted to share how I personally have had very good experiences with my dental treatment at Carlsbad dental. My mom is a patient of Dr. Adourian and has had great things to say when shes gotten her work done. that's how I decided to come in. It had been some time since I had seen a dentist so I was nervous, but the staff in the front and the back office have made me feel very comfortable through the times that I come for my treatment. Dr. Brown did my fillings and is really excellent at explaining treatment and being realistic with what is needed and made me feel like I understood the work and the order that it needed to be done. I also had my wisdom teeth taken out with Dr.Mudd the oral surgeon who comes to the office.(which is extremely convenient) he was great with telling me about the procedure and how to expect to feel after etc. with a couple of days of rest I felt great and that was such a relief to finally have my wisdoms out so they wouldn't cause any more trouble. The last thing I needed was my braces to get my teeth to where they should be. Dr. Messenger the orthodontist is such a sweetheart and made me feel so much better about my smile. I needed quite a bit of movement to get my lower teeth straight after my wisdoms crowded them a lot, and I even needed an expander on my top arch because it was so narrow. Every appt. she notices what movement is happening and tells me what will be happening with the different adjustments. I even am going to be finishing ahead of schedule, totaling my braces to be about a year and 4 months or so instead of the two to two and a half that I thought I would need.Overall I would definitely recommend coming to this office. All too often dentists get blamed for the lack of dental care that we ourselves are responsible for, resulting in dentists quickly becoming the recipients of resentment and dissatisfaction related to these dental healthcare shortcomings.  While there is always room for improvement, Dr. Edwards practice is quite the opposite.  Dr. Edward has built a practice of friendly, professional and courteous staff.  They are comforting and attentive in the front office and along with state of the art equipment and diagnostics; the dental staff is extremely patient, knowledgeable and friendly.  Over the years, I have recommended many friends and acquaintances, who have been equally impressed.  Our entire family feels lucky to be patients in Dr. Edwards practice.  Perfection is hard to improve! Just finished with my first visit to this office, so far they have been really great. I got in first thing, had my paperwork already complete (new patient) only had to wait 5-10 minutes. Got my x rays, cleaning and found out that I needed a couple of fillings, not unexpected since i haven't seen a dentist in a year and half. My dental exam went very well, Dr. Edward discussed with me all of the different things going on with my teeth and made me feel comfortable. I am actually looking forward to coming back here again. I'm always apprehensive when going to a new dentist so I had to post a review since my experience at Carlsbad Dental Associates was fantastic! The staff is very professional, nice and friendly. Dr. Brown and Marlene were great! They made me feel comfortable and not pressured to have any procedures done.
