We tried Wild North for the first time yesterday. We will definitely return. I tried the smoked trout chowder. Now I'm not usually that fond of trout as I think it is too soft, but the chowder was amazing, Just the right amount of smokiness and such amazing flavor. I will definitely get this again. We got the Roasted Lamb for my son, and he raved about it and wouldn't share. They only had one portion left so we'll have to return so we try it. I tasted my husbands lamb shank and split pea soup and it too, was outstanding. I liked my roasted beet root and would order that again too. The menu is small, but what they do is exceptional! We will be back.

Premiere Catering was one of the best decisions we made when selecting vendors for our daughter's wedding. Michael did a fantastic job; the food was delicious and the display was beautifully done. We had to make the arrangements via phone/email since we live in another state yet Michael was flexible and very willing to work with us to customize the menu and we appreciated the recommendations he made. Everything went smoothly and just as planned.

My roommate made fun of me when I told him I just tried Botto's for the first time last week. He mentioned that he been raving about the place for a couple of months but I guess I wasn't paying attention. They took over the Pok Pok location and in my opinion, so much better! I looked online and glanced at the menu.The sandwiches themselves are separate and sides are extra. However, I didn't mind paying extra since the spicy mac and cheese caught my eye. Their food does tend to sell out since bread pudding looked mighty tempting but alas was gone for the evening. The service was very friendly and recommended what bbq sauces to pair with the brisket sandwich I ordered. I went with spicy and a few minutes later the food was ready to take home. The pickled veggies was an added bonus and were very generous with the jalapeno slices. The spicy and cheese with habeneros had a good spicy kick and I would rank it probably at a medium spice level. The portion was just the right amount too. The sandwich held well together and I quickly devoured the smoky brisket. You know it's great bbq when there is a good long lasting smoky finish after the meal. I can't wait to go back and try their other offerings, cheers!

I had so much fun at one of Bonnie's pop-up dinners at Mardi Gras that I came to a Zydeco dance event and a Saturday community dinner. I watch her cooking segments on utube that are recorded and aired on KATU fairly often. Bonnie uses organic meats and excellent quality ingredients. This is truly home cooked style, many dishes starting 2 days prior so meats can properly marinate and gumbos or soups become even tastier. Creole is flavorful food, not hot like Cajun. (If you like it hotter, you can add hot sauce.). Bonnie talks about the origins of Creole food and the history of how French and West African cuisines came together. Bonnie grew up in New Orleans and she uses many of the recipes from her grandmother. Expect a warm and friendly atmosphere and to connect with wonderful people who follow her events. I'm looking forward to attending her cooking classes soon!
