Nagel’s BBQ was officially established in August 2013, but my enjoyment of preparing barbecue began long before that with my father Bob. What began as a love for eating BBQ, progressed to a coworker suggesting I sell it, and now here we are. In 2012 I met my future business partner, best friend, and ridiculously more attractive future wife. Sara and I were married in June 2015 and the family business truly began.

My wife and I met Shawn from Nagels BBQ at a wedding expo and were invited to a tasting event he was holding a few weeks later. Needless to say after tasting the food options and talking with him we immediately put down a deposit for our wedding date. They were extremely professional, friendly, and very affordable over other catering companies. Every question we had during the months prior to the wedding were answered immediately with a phone call. On the wedding day they took care of everything and made the dinner portion stress free and the BBQ was fantastic. We will use them for other events in the future.

We COULD NOT BE HAPPIER with our choice of reception venue. Not only was the food delicious and the space pretty and large enough to accommodate a big party, but we really enjoyed working with the staff (our reception was at the St. Louis city location, and we worked mainly with Kelly, one of the owners). The icing on the (wedding!) cake was the value. We literally got everything we wanted in terms of the reception and didn't feel like we were breaking the bank. We had a large wedding (300 people) but still wanted to stay within a budget as well as we could. Kelly was phenomenal--she listened to what we wanted, worked with us to fit our budget, and had some great suggestions and ideas. She was really flexible when it came time to figure out setting up our centerpieces. She and her team did a great job--I sent pictures of how I wanted the tables arranged and they nailed it. The Christy offered a lot of options on food--we had a cocktail hour accompanied by appetizers, and we also opted for a premium bar. We got a lot of compliments on all of the above (the food especially), and we also got a deal on our cake through a partnership of the Christy's. Like I said, we got everything we wanted! I am so so so glad we chose the Christy-- I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

This was the best meal we've had in a long time!!! There was over an hour wait so we took a seat at the bar and got served right away! We ended up staying there for the whole meal. The goat cheese brûlée was amazing!!! My husband and I each had the bistro salad which was equally delicious. I got the trout which was the special and it was the best fish I've ever had! My husbands filet was cooked perfectly as well. We got a slice of Brûlée cheesecake to go, it was delicious.The bartender was super nice and accommodating. We will definitely go back next time we are in the area!

EXCELLENT!!! We held our daughter's wedding reception at Trigg in April 2013 and everything was great. The food was excellent. In fact, we are still receiving compliments about how good the food was. They were great to work with and everything went like clockwork during the reception, just as they told us it would. Everyone at the hall did a great job. The DJ they recommended was also very good. Make sure you get the beef tenderloin if you are holding an event there or having an event catered, but really, everything they served was very good.I highly recommend Trigg and would definitely do business with them again.
