Find a Building Contractor in Van Nuys

We have been wanting to add a bathroom and reconnect a separated room for some time. We were very weary about hiring a contractor due to horror story's we have heard from friends. We did out interviews and ended up going with Pearl Remodeling. Our project manager Gal and his project supervisor Ofir were amazing. They took the time to do proper permits and research with LAUSD. Set Proper expectations. Performed better than expected in terms of time frame and quality of work. I would use them again and am already consulting with them about some other more minor projects at the moment. Gal is super communicative. I can always get ahold of him, and he does not make us feel bad for calling and asking what may be silly questions. If extra work was needed upon discovery he did not make a big deal about it. We felt his main goal was our happiness. There was one time we had a small issue where my neighbors sprinkler plumbing was ran over by a truck. There was no proof it was from the workers but Gal immediately fixed the issue on the same day it came up with no questions asked. This crew is top notch and I would recommend them to family and friends. They helped us put in an amazing steam shower in a nice very large modern bathroom. It was simply a closet before. It required drilling into a concrete foundation to add plumbing and the fixtures I got would have intimidated most other contractors. We installed a Kohler DTV + Showering system with touch panel and multiple outlets with speakers and special lighting and steam. It is by far the most high tech shower on the block. We also reconnected a bedroom with in ceiling speakers and added 3 windows and a sliding door as well as a barn door thru out for ergonomic entry. We also had out laundry room re designed for more space and easier access. Their permit guy Campbell seemed to know the inner working of LA county real well and what was code and so on. Inspections were a breeze. They made sure someone was here when the inspectors came so we were almost completely hands off. They never pushed me. Allowed me time to make decisions and order the finishing I want even if it meant pushing out the project a bit. I can't say enough how great and professional this crew is... If you need to do a remodel seriously consider Pearl Remodeling. You will not be let down.

Hired 1 Oak Remodeling after a friend recommended them. After scheduling an appointment to meet with a project manager we agreed on numbers to remodel my kitchen and 2 bathrooms. I would say their quote was fair and they actually completed on the projected time they gave me. 100 stars!!!

We are a family of four and we had just purchased a 3500 square foot home in LA that required some significant remodeling and updates. However, we were still living in NJ and were hoping to have the home remodeling done before our move in about a month. This was a daunting undertaking, given our being across the country, not knowing the contractors, and our tight timeframe to complete the work. Then we met Roy, who was referred to us by our trusted realtor. Not only was Roy a terrific cross-country communicator (text, email, phone), but he brought an exceptional level of detail-orientation and workmanship to the project. Bottom line, we absolutely LOVE the work that he and his team completed, and we are now living in what we consider our dream home. To provide more detail about the remodeling, we had Roy and his team help us with the following numerous projects: painting all interior walls; installing engineered wood flooring throughout the majority of the house; a complete master bathroom remodel down to the studs, including new tile flooring, new soaking tub, and new shower; new sections of exterior fencing, new garden gates, and a new balcony railing; repainting all kitchen cabinets, media cabinet, and upstairs bathroom vanities, including new cabinet hardware. In sum, we can't fully express our gratitude for Roy. He is exceptional at what he does. He clearly loves what he does, and he does it so well. We recommend him without reservation. You will not be disappointed; on the contrary, you'll end up living in your forever home.

What can I possibly say but Wow! I'm not one for writing reviews, but here I go! Last year my husband and I did remodeling work on our Palm Springs home and I served as contractor so when we decided to do some remodeling on our new LA home I was ready to step up to the plate again. But my husband thought different. He suggested we find a contractor instead... I did not like this idea but decided to give in and work my magic later. After reaching and getting some outrageous rates we ended up taking the one contractor who was willing to serve the customer first. Shay Alfandari of Expo Home Design and Remodeling Inc. I told him we had limited time and he set to work making things happen. If I need him for anything, all I had to do was reach out and he would get back to me or show up. When I was stressed because it looked like something wasn't possible... he made it possible, I mean this guy made it happen. Even today I know I can call him & it's done! Overall had an amazing experience with EZ Builders. I had a remodel done in my home on my bathroom and the work is completely flawless and i could not be more happy with the work that was done. They were very professional, reliable, very experienced and knowledgeable on their job. I am definitely going to be hiring them again when i have the money to do more work. Very recommendable to anyone who likes work well done.

Fidelity General Contractors did an amazing job for us. They have remodel our kitchen. They remodel the cabinets, replaced counter tops, new flooring. We are very happy form the quality, the daily communication with the office. Definitely recommend to friends and family!

From the moment I met Moshe, he stood out from the other contractors from whom I asked bids. He is not a salesman but a knowledgeable contractor who knows his stuff. What you see is what you get. No BS. Moshe were always there, when I asked for help and offered suggestions when he saw I was out of my depth. His high energy kept the job at a quick pace. Total construction time for my amazing space was 1 1/2 months. My recommendation to anyone is that you give Moshe a call. The exuberance Moshe displays during the consultation, is never-ending. Moshe is a person that keep his word and wants to see his clients happy. I'm already planning for my next renovation.

I worked with many contractors in the past and Manchen Construction are definitely one of the best I worked with. I hired them to build an outdoor kitchen. I wanted something unique and had some special requests. Chen knew what I needed and he also gave me some great advises. The project turned out fantastic, I am very pleased with this company and will highly recommend to others!

The team came in and did the demolition and installation. Jacob monitored the workflow to ensure everything went smoothly. He kept us in the loop as to when the cabinets, flooring. etc. was due to arrive and installed. The end results were a beautiful kitchen. We love it! They did an excellent job.

Amazing service! I hired All Star Home Improvement to fix a previous contractor's (Kitchen Cabinets Express) illegal non-permitted and abandoned work. David is the contractor in charge of the new project. He has been patient and kind. He spent over 2 hours, listing all the issues from the last contractor's work and putting together a bid with licenses and proper pricing and financing. I went ahead and also had him redo my windows and sliding doors, heating, and upgrading my home to become more green and energy efficient. I get great communication from David, his team and his office. I am now not stressed. The workers are dressed nice and make sure all my furniture is covered in plastic. They are so professional and polite. I highly recommend this company if you need any home improvement work. A++++++

I'm so pleased to be posting this review today and have nothing but praise for the smooth running, high standard of work and early completion of my second building project with EnerG Contractor. Stan was professional throughout and also managed his team to work around me while still living in the property! So EnerG Contractor have now successfully completed my second build A complex three story extension building project only one year after completing my loft conversion to such a high standard that I went back as a repeat customer. Furthermore the work was completed along with building regs passed in only eight weeks which was four weeks ahead of the proposed twelve week schedule! Stan remained professional and reliable throughout whilst also clearly and concisely communicating with both myself and the whole team. Well done to all and thank you for all the hard work.
