We’re a male/female folk-rock duo from Alameda called Cosmic Spin. Bara Waters and Robert Cassard cover familiar songs in fun and unusual ways. We sing and play live with rich vocal harmonies and layered guitars. We use original backup tracks (bass, drums, etc.) to produce a full-band sound — but one that’s never too loud for any venue. We're not a dance band, but all our music has a groove and makes people feel good!

I am a bass violinist and vocalist of American Jazz and Blues Standards, engaged professionally for 50 years My band of several decades, the Dewayne Oakley Blues Ensemble, is frequently cited as the most popular group at 40+ North/East/South/San Francisco Bay Area farmers markets where we averaged 2-4 performances/weekly.

Its always a joy to help a young person discover music or to be a guide for adult learners. I've been teaching for many years, both the fundamentals and the art of playing the saxophone.
