It was a wonderful experience for my family and our puppy, Ginny. Ashley was thoughtful and caring and taught us how to train our puppy in an age appropriate manner. She gave us information about methods and tools that will help us to interact with and teach Ginny how to behave. Thank you Ashley and Hold’n On Dog Training. More...

There are times in life where you see untapped potential. I saw this in Oliver. He arrived with a lot of learning needed. He came out strutting his stuff
. He’s 12 weeks old.Behavior, obedience, and commands. Phenomenal. I think if you ever want a trainer that genuinely cares and respects your loved one, give Ashely a shot. She’s devoted. Listens. And wants the best for your pup/full grown. Establishment is pristine. Ashley listens, gives advise and at the end gives you a lesson. She’s on course to make Oliver what we all know he can be. I would look no further. Ashley is amazing. Thanks yous aren’t enough. You did amazing.

Warning: Long Testimonial😁🐕 Back in December we added Nash to our home. Nova was not about it. We couldn’t put Nash on the floor or she would kill him (not joking or exaggerating). We had to keep Nash in a room with baby gates protecting him from her. My husband and I didn’t know what to do, we had agreed no matter what we would not get rid of either dog. I called Ashley at Hold’n On Dog and she said “yes, we can put Nova through the three week boot camp and bring Nash in the last week for introductions.” Nova was not cooperative and super stubborn. She was neither food or praise motivated. Ashley didn’t give up on her though. She kept Nova longer than planned. Nash was dropped off when Ashley felt it was an appropriate time. Nova’s fear is mostly around being touched by another dog, she can exist in a room with a controlled dog. A puppy is not a controlled dog. Nova and Nash left with all the right tools, but Nova was unwavering when it came to Nash. We needed to advocate for her and protect Nash. For the last several months we continued to work with Nova and Nash while keeping them separated in our home with leashes. That meant each of them needed to be connected to a leash at all times in our home. We got in a routine with it. We navigated what doors to go out, which dog to take first so that she would not hurt him. Ashley has been with us throughout this entire process and I have been sharing updates with her as we reach milestones with Nova and Nash’s relationship. I am happy to say, we have eliminated the leash tie-downs in our home. Nova and Nash are free roaming. Nova still doesn’t like to be touched and mostly avoids him, but they both listen when spoken to and we keep our relationship structured. They go outside in the back yard unleashed and they walk together side-by-side. We could not have gotten to this point without Ashley! Thank you for sticking with us and continuing to work with us. They may never snuggle🤣 but we are back to a manageable home. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! We are so appreciative. More...

The time Chiron spent at Hold'n On Dog Training has drastically improved his behavior towards strangers (and even people he’s met before). While he’s still a bit nervous - he warms up quickly. We don’t have hours and hours of barking, growling and running away and fear. If you’re in Central Florida and your pup needs some behavior fixing - give them a call. We’ve brought him there twice - once as a puppy to get him on a schedule and fix some toy guarding. We brought him back when we just couldn’t handle the fear stage any more - Hold’n On is a life saver - quite possibly literally! More...

This was a great experience all around for the humans and the pups in my house! Ashley and Megan are wonderful experienced trainers! Every time we took our dogs anywhere in the car or an event, it was full blown chaos, and it’s definitely harder to handle two instead of one. With their guidance we went to a nice peaceful, relaxed, “it’s OK” state of mind when leaving the house. I would definitely recommend her to any one! She definitely has an abundance of resources and distractions to keep the pups minds stimulated and thinking. I can’t thank them enough for their help and guidance.... but you have to do the work too! More...

One of my good friends referred me to Hold’n on Dog Training. She had previously sent her dogs to Ashley for obedience training. We sent out 6 month old Belgian Malinois Allie to her for obedience training and it has made a world of difference. I cannot say enough good things about Ashley’s training skills. I am so impressed by what Allie has learned from Ashley, she is 100% better at listening. I highly recommend Hold’n On Dog Training to anyone looking at obedience training for their dogs. More...

Carol and I highly recommend Ashley and her husband Dave. She has done a superb job in the 3 weeks she had our Anatolian Shepherd, Bear. He is just 4 months old and is listening to us unlike when we first got him at 8 weeks old. Ashley did work wonders and you will not be disappointed! More...

There is no one I trust more then Ashley with our dogs who need training. We have sent dogs with serious issues that make them highly un-adoptable and she always turns them around in a humane and safe manner. Sophie's Circle Dog Rescue highly recommends Hold'N On Dog Training. More...

I just wanted to say that I think Ashley is amazing and I’m so happy that she helps so many of our dogs at Sophies Circle by taking them in and doing a board and train with them. What amazing results. She’s consistent, kind, caring, and knows exactly what she is doing. I love the videos and the posts and how she keeps everyone in the loop with the dogs she is working with. As a trainer myself, I couldn’t possibly recommend another trainer as much as I do her. If you need a board and train, Hold’n On Dog Training is the place to go. More...

Ashley is a great trainer. She takes time with these dogs that just won’t listen and make them good dogs. She trained my Paisley and I got a new dog. She listens, I walk her instead of her walking me. She also learned not to be barking at everyone. I recommend her to anyone she really trains these dogs because she loves them. More...

What do you love most about your job?
The ability to meet so many wonderful families who want to help their dogs have a better state of mind.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My love for our family dogs. Living on a farm with 15 dogs inspired me to want to help other families communicate better with their dogs. We are finding that too many dogs are being surrendered at an alarming rate when most unwanted behaviors can be fixed. My love for people and dogs gives me a rewarding career to do something that I am very passionate about.
Why should our clients choose you?
I like to think that we give a straight forward answer to the questions families are dealing with their dogs. A major priority is that we set the owners up for success and make sure they have a good understanding of what the dogs have been taught and how to use those tools, knowledge and techniques to move forward with a great family dog. The bottom line is that the owners need this training just as much as the dogs so that a good path of communication takes place on both sides.
