‘21 Certificate of Excellence

*Please note that if you have a mental health plan from your GP, I am unable to provide the medicare rebate through my services. ** I am currently providing both in-person and online sessions and can work with your preference. Yogahari Healing provides healing, personal growth and spirituality, through counselling/psychotherapy, family constellations. I have been supporting people through personal healing for over twenty-seven years. I am a qualified Social Worker, Family Constellation Facilitator, Emotional Focussed Couple's Therapist and Emotional Focussed Individual Therapist. I work with women, men, couples and families and can support people through the following experiences: -trauma -depression -anxiety -sexual abuse and sexual assault -childhood trauma -family issues -relationship difficulties -infidelity -couple counselling -grief and loss -building boundaries -communication -building self-esteem and self-care In my early years I worked in the community sector as a youth counsellor, family counsellor and as a group work facilitator assisting mothers and women heal from family violence. Ten years ago I moved into private practice. My counselling approach is very relational meaning that I place a great deal of importance in building a therapeutic relationship based on trust and safety. The support varies according to what each individual person is seeking and open to. I can draw on a few approaches to healing the wounded psyche/self and trauma using healing approaches and modalities such as: Emotional Focussed Therapy, somatic work, psycho-dynamic theory, trauma-informed practice, attachment theory, strength-based practice, Family Constellation work and Radical Exposure Tapping and mindfulness. What makes my work a little unique is that I am also a yoga teacher and can draw on yoga psychology for people interested in exploring life challenges, traumas and issues from this life perspective. In my years of experience as a therapist, I have witnessed the immense benefits that this adds to helping people create openings for new ways of thinking and being!

Hear from
a professional

What do you love most about your job?

The opportunity to witness personal resilience, growth, courage and heart, from people who are seeking support during very vulnerable times in their lives is one of the most rewarding things to experience. Facing your personal traumas and emotional/psychological/wounds is no easy feat, so the opportunity to be able to support people through this process, for me is a very sacred act. As a career, there is nothing more meaningful than supporting people transform in ways that increases deeper intimacy with self and others, self- love, self-care, boundaries, acceptance, letting go, peace and forgiveness into their lives.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I wanted to personally challenge my own self-doubts about what I had to offer as a professional. I was ready to break through the limiting beliefs I had about myself and what I was capable of achieving. There is no bigger personal growth than having the courage to put yourself out there and let people know, hey, I'm a trustful person, and I have the skills and experience that can help you get through this really challenging time.

Why should our clients choose you?

One of my biggest strengths as a therapist is my ability to hold a very safe space where people can be raw, honest and vulnerable. I have a variety of skills as a therapist, but what also makes my work a little unique is that I am also a yoga teacher and can bring a very wholistic lens to the therapeutic work if that is what people are seeking. I can very easily bring together western approaches to psycho-therapy and eastern philosophical wisdom!

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

I do offer online sessions to both couple's and individuals.
