Study Smart Victoria aims to empower all students so that they can reach their academic goals in the discipline of English. We offer online sessions to improve your: - Reading - Spelling - Comprehension - Essay Writing - Research - Proofreading - Mentorship - Writing about Literature - Study Skills
I am passionate about teaching and learning and enjoy seeing students grow and develop critical thinking skills. Teaching is a vocation, and it requires patience and a positive attitude; important attributes that I possess.
I have been interested in starting my own business for a long time, and the current climate has given me the opportunity to finally take the plunge. I also want to be able to offer the kind of mentorship that is difficult in large classrooms, and one-on-one sessions will allow me to focus on students' unique and individual needs.
I am known for having a good rapport with students, and because I love teaching, I easily transfer my passion for Literature to students who find literary studies challenging. The pastoral care of my students is a huge priority, and I mentor them throughout the study process, and help them to develop study skills that they can use in other subjects.
I provide lessons on Zoom and/or Microsoft Teams for students who live outside my 5 km radius. Lessons are recorded (if requested by the student) and I touch base with them on 15-20 minute call once a week to check-in on their progress for the week. This additional chat is free.
I follow all the Covid-19 protocols re: social distancing and not teaching if I feel unwell. The online lessons are a good alternative for students who prefer remote learning at this uncertain time.
