Residential interior designers are responsible for the layout, design, and decoration of residential building spaces. They manage interior design projects in private homes or investment property from portfolios. Most interior designers will hold a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Interior Design. Although a degree is usually required, there are also courses in drawing and computer-aided design (CAD).
As a small residential design company, we’re able to be flexible and arrange meetings for almost any time. With three full-time members of staff and one part-time administrator, I make sure all projects are handled efficiently and professionally with a personal touch. We only take on work within our man-power. Plus, we all operate on flexible working hours to ensure that this is possible, with no compromise on quality of work. Nothing brings us more job satisfaction than when clients return to us or refer new clients to us.
I offer project management services to run alongside and in the lead up to an interior design project. For example, project managing a kitchen extension before work on the decoration and interiors has begun. This is subject to availability and how busy we are, but it’s always great to be involved in a project from the very beginning. This can bring really exceptional results. It’s also helpful for clients who have busy jobs. Having one go-to person for all project queries helps to ensure efficiency, consistency and focus, so that nothing is missed.

I don’t know what I would have done without Amy to turn to for design advice when we were having a complete renovation of our apartment. I am hopeless at envisioning the finished product, but Amy was able to quickly tune into what we like, and gave valuable guidance, including lots of ideas & photos, which helped so much when I had to make the scary choices of floor and wall tiles, kitchen counter, lighting and more. We’ve been so happy with the results! I would recommend her to anyone. She really has a creative eye!

After doing a refresh renovation, I was confused in regard to placing my multitude of artwork. Each piece has a personal story, so omitting any was not an option. Amy was both patient and respectful. She made suggestions which made sense to me. The final result is fantastic. People have commented favourably on the clever placing of the pictures. I look forward to consulting with Amy when I’m ready to do a family gallery up the stairs. If rating is called for, I would give Amy 5/5 !

We have known Julia as an expert in the world of office interiors for a long time. The world has completely changed after COVID-19 pandemic, and a lot of people were forced to work from the home office. We set Julia a difficult task: she came up with the design of two offices that were different in style and functionality. One had to be laconic, but convenient for work: without visible cables, but with a screen for video conferences. This office needed to be both classy and with a document storage system. The second: a library and an office two in one, and the library had to be a closed one, since our books are of very different formats. We like built-in furniture, so we wanted this effect too. Both projects turned out perfect: in addition to our wishes, Julia came up with great design ideas, the colors echoed the concept of the whole house, and that's great. Conclusion: we all have taste, but everyone should do their own thing, so trust a designer, a qualified designer: Julia:) Thanks for everything!
