We have a rescue dog who we thought had some alpha aggressive-type issues, but after Kim coming to visit we now know her behaviours are fear-related. Its only been just over a week but already we are seeing improvements in her behaviour now that we know how to help her be brave. We look forward to seeing how far she can go! We highly recommend Kim. She is reasonably priced, super knowledgable and replies quickly to any questions you have. Wish we had called her sooner!

I’m so happy I found paw-sitive pooch. Letiesha has been exceptional with our husky malamute puppy Ivy. Since training Ivy has been nailing her recall and finding it a pleasure to learn. Letiesha thinks out of the box and brings ivy to the park to introduce distractions to her while training. I can’t recommend a better dog trainer! Def give paw-sitive pooch a go if you need dog training. :)

Animals and the environment have always been my greatest passion in life. I have spent a lot of time over seas working on conservational projects that protect the Orangutan and Mountain Gorilla and their habitats and I continue to do so whenever possible. I have always had a unique connection with dogs and understood how they work. It was when I was in Kisoro Uganda being followed by several dogs in a place where people have no respect for dogs and absolutely no understanding of their beautiful ability to be truly selfless, loyal and the best friend a person can have, that I realised what I wanted to do in life. I was in a place surrounded by poverty where children have nothing and are scared of dogs. I made a decision to try an educate people about these beautiful animals and the friendship and love they offer. I began teaching people in Africa the most basic concepts of k9 and human friendship, watching people go from fearing dogs to respecting and loving them and developing a friendship is one of the most rewarding experiences of my life! So I decided that is what I wanted to do with my life!

I have thousands and thousands of hours of experience working with and being amongst dogs and puppies in every situation and environment possible. This is what I do and have done this full time 7 days a week for over 15 years.
I have several qualifications including, Diploma in Canine Aggression Cert IV in Canine Psychology and Behaviour, Cert in Animal Behaviour and currently studying an advance diploma in Canine Behavioural Management. I will continue to study to keep up to date with the latest science based techniques in Canine Behavioural Management.
If you're looking for an ACTUAL PROFESSIONAL to assist you with rescue dogs or any form of behavioural reactivity, I would advise you make sure they have a minimum of ten years full time experience and a minimum of 5 years full time experience for basic behaviour and puppy training. Ask what methods they use and simply hang up if they use any form of dominance or force based training. If you have a trainer that treats your dog with anything other than love understanding and respect ask them to leave immediately and review them and your experience. I hate the word industry but this industry is unregulated and any one with little or NO experience or qualifications can start a web site and claim to be a trainer or behavioural consultant. I am appalled at some of the stories my clients have told me of previous experience with someone claiming to be a trainer or behaviourist that has come to their home and frightened or even hurt their dog. DO NOT STAND FOR IT!!!!

Dogs are simply my purpose in life and I am a guardian to every single one of them and you will know this of me as soon as we meet.
