Empowered with Raphael

I work with clients across a range of ages over 16 years taking a full health and non-pathologising approach. I mostly work with clients; experiencing anxiety, late diagnosis neurodiversity, particularly ADHD and AuADHD female-assigned-at-birth, co-parenting arrangements, divorce, career changes, conflict resolution, task switching, organisation skills and communication. Most of the clients I work with are hoping to bring more balance and fulfilment to their lives through improving relationships with others, themselves and making the most of their time. I take a holistic approach with clients focussing on not just your mental health, but on important physical health aspects, emotional regulation, nervous system, people pleasing, sensory environment, time-management, planning and budgeting, and patterns of subconscious behaviour, spirituality for those who have a practice. Empowering people to thrive is what I am most passionate about in my work. I have been through my own struggles with navigating anxiety and neurodiversity and have recognised how important tailored Counselling support is for your brain and the way you process the world. In person or online available.

What do you love most about your job?

Seeing clients get great results such as feeling more positive, making more friends, losing weight, feeling healthier, being able to communicate more clearly, having more confidence in themselves, and feeling that they can manage their emotions.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Before moving into this work, I was a consultant at PwC, then went contracting as a Diversity and inclusion specialist and moving into various stakeholder engagement and organization transformation roles over half a decade. I have been a board of director for not-for-profits and supported transformation at the senior leadership level. But the lifestyle was not supporting my health and deeper supportive work was calling me.
I have been on my own health and wellbeing journey since 2016 that involved support across the medical and alternative fields, surgery, healing from chronic illness, and many different waves of processing and grieving all the while working, and trying to maintain the outward image of being fine. I learnt a lot about myself physically, mentally and spiritually over this time and found more balance in my work and lifestyle while still maintaining these senior roles.
I stepped formally into the role of supporting people in the middle of 2020 during the COVID pandemic and started Empowered with Raphael. I retrained in counselling and various other qualifications. I wrote two books, one: Your Conscious Awakening was an international bestseller on both amazon.com and amazon.au.

I am passionate about blending alternative wisdom with science-based psychology approaches to bring you the most integrated and supportive experience.

Why should our clients choose you?

Counselling I support those who are struggling to feel confident, connected to themselves. Lived experience of neurodiversity and a supportive approach with clients.
Whether you are struggling with anxiety, burnout, overwhelm, grief, body image issues, sexuality, or some forms of historic trauma. I work with people from all walks of life and a variety of ages, seventeen and above.
While I am a qualified counsellor, I don’t work with people who are in a serious mental health crisis, currently suicidal, self-harming, or disassociating. I don’t work with people with significant depression or experiencing frequent PTSD episodes.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Yes, the majority of my work is online via zoom.
The benefits are that I am available some evenings outside of business hours to work around your schedule, you can have your session from a safe space of your choosing and you don't have to try and drive and add it into your day. I find this is beneficial for the therapeutic relationship because you can feel safer being in a space you know and if you are feeling a bit emotional after the session you don't have to drive home.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

Online support is available and 6 hours postponement policy for illness if you don't feel well enough for a session that day.
