I’m pretty disappointed with my overall experience with Newcastle Roofing Professionals. After discussing the job with Jay, and under the advisement that re-pitching the sunroom at the rear of our house would be fine, which we advised would be completed in around two weeks, weather permitting, he maintained that tarping would be used that would be ‘water tight’. Under this advise, I signed the contract and made a 20k deposit for work. Work went well for the initial stage of the install. Areas that would connect to the new pitched area were tarped. With the first rain, our bathroom ceiling became so drenched that droplets were coming through, the tarp had been incorrectly installed there. Lachlan from Designer Tech Roofing, the subcontractor for the install came and remedied this, the ceiling now needs to be completely replaced in that room. Within a week it was then leaking through our freshly restored and re-plastered ceiling in our dining room, leaving a large water stain. At the same time, the tarp had been incorrectly installed over the dining room wooden lead light window, where water pooled to such a level that it started leaking out of our picture rails and the window corners all over our newly polished floors. Lachlan once again came out, and only acknowledged after he had left via text message that the tarp allowed it to pool in the eaves after dismissing my window concerns when he first arrived. They returned and finished the install. Our solar then needed to be reinstalled, but Lachlan and his team had drilled through one of our solar circuits when they had installed the first portion of roofing, meaning they wouldn’t be working. It took three weeks for them to come and resolve this issue. We subsequently couldn’t use our solar to offset our electricity bills for this period. Lachlan left nasty messages about payment for the final install, I had paid the first portion, but I was waiting for the damages by him and his team to be rectified before finalising the last payment, to ensure it was fixed. Newcastle Roofing Professionals were advised of this and were completely fine with that arrangement, however, I still received a nasty voicemail off Lachlan. Insinuating he had done me a favour by fixing the tarp a few times, to me its part of the contract and was the minimum standard of work expected, it wasn’t above and beyond to ensure a clients ceiling wouldn’t be damaged after they were assured of this. He was advised of the damages to the solar by himself and his team, he offered no reply or apology and was increasingly rude. He was paid earlier this week, as my solar was finally repaired, but I definitely don’t recommend. My carpenter also asked that the gutter hole in the new area be placed over the line between the new build area and the old, to make it more blended, this was agreed to, this wasn’t done. I asked to make a formal complaint, they said I would be called. No call. Messaged again with no response from them. Definitely don’t recommend. Avoid using these companies. More...

The team from NRP completed a roof replacement on my home a few weeks ago. The tradespeople/roofers were efficient and meticulous with a keen eye to detail. They finished the roof in two days! The result is a beautiful new roof that sets off the rest of the house. My roof looks fantastic and I love it. I am also thrilled about my experience with NRP. At every point of the process - from my initial enquiry to Jay’s measure and quote, Katie’s regular updates to keep me informed about the work, and the professionalism of the tradespeople who worked on my roof, my experience was positive and enjoyable. The collegiality, work ethic, friendliness and efficiency of the team meant that I felt comfortable in my home while the work was underway. This is a very important, but often overlooked, point. The tradespeople were very respectful, courteous and friendly, which made it easier to have strangers at the home. All existing tiles and clip lock and other building rubbish from the site were removed on completion of the work. Thank you for an amazing job on my new roof. From start to finish your service was top shelf. Your guy was out to quote within days of me calling and he had sent back a professional quote the same day with everything that I was asking for. When the job started, your girls in the office contacted me at the start and end of each day to keep me updated with the progress. But the team you sent to do the job were second to none. A friendly, polite bunch of lads that just got to work. Nothing was a problem and they did a thorough clean up at the end of each day. But was really blown away to see them do a complete sweep over my entire yard to make sure no nails or chunks of tile were left behind. We had our roof restoration completed by Newcastle Roofing Professionals and we’re extremely happy with the result and the quality of work. Asked for a quote to replace our tile roof with colorbond. I had to take two hours off work to be at home for them, only to have them cancel at the last moment. If having people off sick with COVID is your excuse, you know about it early enough to give an early courtesy call. This would have to be my worst experience and I have dealt with a lot of trades people. It took 9 1/2 weeks to complete the job after I paid a 70% deposit ($17244) and only through demands for refunds and threats of litigation was the work completed. Communication is shocking both internally and externally. I spent over $25000 on a partial roof replacement and constantly battled to get the work done. I can’t for the life of me work out why they would make life so difficult and so stressful. AVOID, AVOID AVOID!!! My ceiling and electricals were damaged by their tradesmen however they quickly repaired the ceiling (I repaired the electricals and repainted the ceiling) only to have the new roof leak into that very repair at the first sign of light rain resulting in having to repaint again. Sean was quick to come out the next day to repair the new roof but had it poured heavy rain I would have had flooding in my house. I have had to make adjustments to their works such as additional pipe work and adjustments to their flashing as water leaks on the veranda. I don’t dare ask them to return in case things become worse than they are. And given it took months for me to get them to do the work, what hope do I have in them returning for repairs. And yes before you say I have the wrong company I do not. It is Newcastle Roofing Supplies also known as Newcastle Roofing Professionals. Yes I had additional work done outside the original quote but this was minor (about 10% of the original quote) and in no way should have created such lengthy delays. Hold out before paying the final balance as you will want to check their work and this will be your only draw card to hold them to accountability. You have been warned. AVOID! More...

The most unprofessional company in Australia, no communication, 3 weeks between having the roof pressure cleaned to after countless calls they finished the job but in between we had that heavy rain 6 weeks ago and the ceiling was damaged as the roof was not sealed after it was pressure cleaned, they sent someone to look at the damage ceiling and quote the repair some 3 weeks ago and after my wife called today to see what the status was she was told another 3 weeks before they can do anything, $8,000. 00 spent with this company and we are treated like this, beware of this company More...

Each time we received polite, responsive and professional service from calling to quoting to having the works completed.
