What do you love most about your job?
The thing I love most is being able to capture a clients' special moment; a look, a glance, a kiss or even a tear, so they can have that memory for years to come.
My job gives me an opportunity to work with many different people and situations, so no two shoots are ever the same.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I had been a photographer for quite a number of years, shooting mainly landscapes and have been published internationally. That led me to starting Oz Photo Workshops, where I run multi-day trips for photographers all around Australia, visiting great locations and providing tuition on location.
The interactions with other photographers inspired me to launch Alan Barker Photography to shoot portrait, family photos and wedding photography, which allows me to interact with people in a different way.

Portraits
Portraits are available for singles or couples and are offered both in studio, or on location
Family Photos
Family Photos are available for all sizes of families and are offered both in studio, or on location, depending on group size.
Senior Student Photos
Book a private shoot to commemorate the real you as you head off from senior schooling. You are able to tailor these shoots to suit your style; a musician may bring their guitar, a sportsperson - their uniform, a dancer - shoes and tutu, etc. These sessions incorporate one or more outfit changes and are available in our studio or on location.
If you would prefer, why not have a shoot with a couple of friends and reduce your session costs.
Boudoir Photography
We provide an elegant boudoir experience including:
* Professional hair and make-up;
* Posing tuition throughout the shoot;
* Preparation guides;
* Lingerie / clothing guides;
* 2 hour shoot in a private studio or venue;
* Personal and private online gallery for your images;
* Professional processing of images.
Once your images are ready, you will be welcome to purchase an album, paper prints, stunning metal print, etc.
