What do you love most about your job?

There are many things which I adore about the work I do with my clients. However, the key aspect is seeing how an individual grows from being nervous and apprehensive, to

What inspired you to start your own business?

During my career working as a Registered nurse I have developed a passion for helping and supporting others. On many occasions I wished that I had more time to spend with my patients, rather than constantly rushing. I felt it was important to always listen attentively to what they were saying to me. I thought the only way which I could do this effectively is to become a counsellor. Whilst continuing with my NHS work, I embarked on my training as a Psychotherapeutic counsellor. Following my accreditation I have combined both my nursing and counselling work. I have decided to wind down from nursing and to now focus on therapeutic work. I have a passion for showing kindness and compassion, with a reassuring smile, since this can make all the difference to my clients` recovery and outcome.

Why should our clients choose you?

Given my background in healthcare over many years I have developed the natural ability to listen and to understand my clients problems. I believe that as a mature and professional person I have the skills and experience to offer my clients the support they need. In addition, my own self awareness, life`s experience and has no doubt given me the strength and motivation required to deal with a diverse range of life`s challenges. I am also very passionate about learning and developing my knowledge and skills, which I can use to lend support to others. Its a great achievement to see clients emerge from a negative state into a more positive one. Its my belief that everyone deserves to achieve their goals in life.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Although my preference is to work face to face, I have also completed online certificate training last year during the height of the pandemic. I am aware of the regulations including data protection, client`s safety and the overall management of `Online Telephone Counselling.` I am willing to offer both, depending on the client`s preference.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

I am aware of infection control, not only as a healthcare practitioner, I have the necessary precautionary measures in place. On meeting my clients at the front door, I offer hand sanitiser (checking for any allergic issues), option for wearing an appropriate face mask, windows open as appropriate for fresh air. (currently optional). Chairs are sanitised pre and post use.
