What do you love most about your job?

Editing the latest research in a number of different fields keeps me up to date on new information and technology.
Academics and creative people produce wonderful ideas in addition to their dissertations, theses, technical articles and the like but, sadly, not all of them have good English language skills and the effect of their creativity may be marred by poor spelling, grammar, etc. Solving this problem provides satisfaction for my clients and for myself.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I had climbed the corporate ladder to board level, but found that I did not like the person I was becoming. They say that, even if you win the rat race, you're still a rat. So, in 1998, I quit with my integrity intact and started a company specialising in training communication-based skills. Wordstar started as an adjunct to this business and has now replaced it.
Many years of experience have shown that relatively few people have the language skills to recognise incorrect language use but, to those that do, poor spelling, punctuation and grammar give a bad impression of the competence of the company or organisation concerned. I focus my work on helping writers to create a good impression and get their message across clearly.

Why should our clients choose you?

I have broad and extensive experience in the editing of dissertations, theses and technical papers. I also work with authors on books as well as proposals, reports, magazine copy, websites, brochures, newsletters, and questionnaires. I have published various technical articles on aluminium alloys.
I was the CEO of Direction Training for eight years before branching out to start Wordstar Training in 1999. Prior to that, I had more than twenty years’ experience in line management in the process and manufacturing industries from shop floor to board level, and from technical to marketing.

Sanet is an efficient CV writer and turns your work experience into a compelling story that aligns with your career aspirations. She listens to your career history and tailors your CV to your target roles, and showcases you as an ideal candidate. She would ask targeted questions about your past roles, responsibilities, accomplishments, and skills to create a comprehensive foundation. She creates a visually clean layout with consistent fonts, grammar, headings, and spacing to ensure readability. Key sections like Education, Skills, and Work Experience are easy to navigate. Sanet adapts your CV to match the specific industry and role you’re targeting, using keywords relevant to that field. I highly recommend Sanet.

I would like to thank Dr Matsaseng and his team for supervising my thesis until I obtained my MBA. It was not an easy journey because of Covid-19 in 2020 but through their love and support I managed to fulfill my dream of grabbing my precious Henley Business School platinum MBA. They also assisted me in writing several successful articles of how to improve the infrastructure in SA. The challenge is that our thesis, dissertations, articles are not taken seriously and implemented hence we have so many challenges because the Government sometimes ignore the importance of our research studies.
