Ongegund Lodge is a beautiful old Lodge and with additional buildings that have been extensively rebuilt with great care and imagination. The estate is surrounded by beautiful countryside with some interesting walks.||The rooms we stayed in were comfortable with enormous beds and well furnished with loads of storage space, occasional tables and chairs and an enormous stoep. The bathroom had both a bath and a shower. Cleanliness of the rooms was excellent.||There is a very picturesque swimming pool and bar area, a beautiful room for breakfast, a conference centre is also available.||The staff were very friendly and obliging in meeting our every need which included a really appetising breakfast menu with loads of options.||The Lodge is located in a country area without the hustle and bustle of being in the middle of town although there are plenty of shopping opportunities within a few minutes drive.||Overall a nice quiet, relaxing place to stay with great countryside, fabulous views and lovely staff to look after your every need.||Would I go back? Oh yes.

Very easy to spend a lot of time there. Lots to do. The Roasting Company serves excellent coffee and the gardens offer a lot of different things to do , especially for small children.
They can play in the fountain and on the lawns. There is also a nice play area behind the Millhouse.
Entrance to the estate is free at the moment, but they are busy setting up ticketed booms.
