What do you love most about your job?

I love dogs and being able to help people create a stronger connection with their pet is my favourite part of the job. Puppy training can be particularly rewarding as well!

Do you offer any specialised forms of training?

I can offer everything from house training a puppy to teaching an adult how to complete an agility course in competition. I specialise in commands and being able to instruct owners on how to handle their pup, as well as teaching them how to better understand their dog. One of the more specialist aspects I train on is separation anxiety.

What variety of training options do you provide for clients?

I believe I offer a great range, including home visits, group sessions, and private one-to-one instructor classes. I’m also happy meeting in a suitable public place such as a dog park. Working with you and your dog, we’ll create a routine that works perfectly.

What qualifications have you achieved?

I have earned qualifications from: the Kennel Club Accredited Instructors, Level 3 CPD Accredited Dog Training, Diploma in Dog Training, and more. I can’t recommend K9Sam highly enough! My puppy was highly reactive and challenging to manage before we started training with Sam. His calm, professional demeanor and extensive knowledge immediately put me at ease, and I could tell right away that my pup trusted him, too. Through Sam’s expert guidance, my puppy transformed into a much more confident and well-behaved dog. She no longer reacts to distractions or other dogs the way she used to, which has made our daily walks and outings an absolute joy. Sam didn’t just train my dog—he also trained me, equipping me with the tools and confidence I needed to maintain her progress at home. Sam’s training style is both effective and compassionate, and you can tell he genuinely cares about each dog he works with. If you’re struggling with reactivity or any other behavioral issues, K9Sam is absolutely the trainer to call. Thank you, Sam, for changing our lives for the better!

In November 2023, we took a 16 month old Australian Shepherd to keep him from being sent to a shelter. We quickly realized that he was housebroken and crate trained but that was it. Harry was very sweet, but he was a 55 pound puppy with no manners or boundaries. I contacted Jeff, and he was able to come to our rescue and begin training within a few days. The first session, Harry responded to Jeff immediately. Jeff showed us how to work with Harry in the home sessions, which was very helpful and gave me the tools to work with him. Since we already had a 14 year old Shih Tzu and three cats and Harry was rambunctious, we decided the more focused board and train would be best. We picked Harry up this week from his four week board and train, and he is now much better behaved. We were amazed at his transformation. He has an overall calmer demeanor - he has not jumped on anyone, he will stay in place on his cot, he will stay wherever I put him when I'm cooking, and he will sit at the door when I take my other dog out without trying to run out. He also walks with a loose leash the majority of the time. I no longer worry about him pulling me down the street or him getting away from me. We will be using Well Mannered K9 for any future training or boarding needs we have. While Harry was training, he also made friends and had play time, and it was obvious he was well cared for. I highly recommend WMK9!

Dogwise Academy is a good company it was seamless to enroll my puppy in the program. The weekly report cards was informative. I received several phone calls, emails and texts to address any concerns I had. Rina Sullivan is an amazing dog trainer. I am very pleased with her training methods. Rina boarded my puppy Sky, for 7 weeks; through 2 hurricanes. Sky is a high energy, head strong, yet loving, 5-month, 50 lbs. Black Mouth Cur/German Shepherd mix; with an attention span of about 10 seconds. Rina not only taught Sky the essentials commands, she came home potty trained! Rina's love for what she does was/is demonstrated in the great care Sky received. I was able to track Sky's process through the numerous videos and daily reports Rina sent. This put my mind at is ease as I was able see my fur baby. Rina is also generous with her time, before and after Sky return home. Always answering any questions I had/have and making helpful suggestions, as well as having follow training sessions with me at home. Sky love her! & I highly recommend her! Addie
