I have bought many different people's penuche before to try and find one that has the texture of my great grandmother's, who passed in 1988. I was at the monson craft fair and decided to buy your last container even though it had walnuts. Well you did not disappoint me at all. I call it coincidence that you were at the Unitarian church, my grandfather was a member there and started the book store that is in the church, I did not want to go in, have not been in since he passed, but I did go in and I am so happy I did. it was my grandfather's mom that made the penuche that I remember so well. What’s your signature dish?
Croud favorites are caramel apples, hand dipped truffles, and fresh fruit dipped in chocolate.
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
When working on a menu, we work together. I always include my client's favorite items are part of the menu. Sometimes it creating desserts around a theme or a color. We talk and share ideas. Bringing a client's vision to the event is important.
What do you love most about your job?
The creativity that I can put into each event. Whether the for favors or a full dessert buffet, I make it as personal as I can. I don't believe in the cookie cutter approach.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've been making chocolate for more than 10 years. At first it was face to face events, then I started doing small orders and gift baskets. Now I offer my clients candy bars and dessert buffets in addition to favors, trays and hospitality bags.
Why should our clients choose you?
I know this sounds cheezy, but I sincerely care about each client. Our relationship shouldn't end when I pack up the goodies for you to take home. I'm always available as a resource.
