What makes a great website?
Imagine if you were throwing an outdoor and headed to your local store. As you walked into the store you were bombarded with a warehouse like experience with very little in the way of guidance or direction. You may make it out with want you needed but maybe not.
Now imagine you are throwing the same outdoor barbecue and walk through the doors of your local store and someone greeted you and walked you from the first item to the last with new suggestions in between. They started you out at the hot dogs and hamburgers, by the buns, condiments, suggested some shish-kabobs (chicken and veggie) and reminded you to get plastic-ware, beer, napkins and ice. The help was to the point you felt like they were doing you a favor not just selling you more stuff and the help was personalized to you.
We were founded in 2001...That means we have been working on sites and online businesses since their infancy. In that time web sites have evolved from online brochures to integrated conversations. It used to be that someone tried to appear like a large entity and bigger than they really were. That was the magic of the early days and a leveling of the playing field. But now there is alot of noise and a personal connection is what is truly valuable. So authenticity reigns supreme and 'anti" stock - meaning the use of genuine images and things people can relate to (or not) - are great aims.
There are ever-evolving channels that can be taken advantage of to grow your voice and business. The exact features, designs, and components change often. The core "spirit" of a great experience and serving the best interests of the audience remain the gold standard.

What do you love most about your job?
I love being able to bring fellow entrepreneurs and business owners / experts cutting edge tools and strategies to get a much deserved advantage without unneeded expense.
What inspired you to start your own business?
A year after graduating from the University of Virginia I was asked by the owner of the small business I worked for at the time to take on the development of a website that with the objective of helping to get more business. While I took this on I picked up certifications as an internet specialist and Master Certified Internet Webmaster/Designer. I found the possibilities the web opened up exciting and took to trying to spread the word about these and help more people take advantage of it.
I was inspired by the possibilities opened up by the web and soon after that the advances in mobile technology -- to level the playing field for the small business and entrepreneur. My / our mission is to help you realize your "e-potential" and wield technology to deliver your expertise and value to the world on your terms, We also want you to be able to empower others while maintaining your freedom and the quality of life you deserve.

Everyone has experienced a time in their career when they hold in their hands what they believe to be a great idea, they don’t have the resources to do it, they know it will work and need others to believe in that dream to make it a reality. Kevin Hailstock of Web Emerse, LLC was willing to step up and take a new concept and create the web site for the first Maryland Congressional Procurement Conference & Expo, held in 2003, and one of my initiatives that transformed a beleaguered regional chamber of commerce.
This Mid Atlantic conference went on to receive an ACE communications award from American Chamber of Commerce Executives at their national conference held in Orlando, Florida and is commended by U.S. Representative Christopher Van Hollen in a 2004 news release on his web site.
In 2011 the conference reached its ninth year, is a key, if not the biggest fundraiser for the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce, Rockville, Md and has enabled a series of successes and program growth areas at the chamber, new members and momentum that otherwise would not have been possible. I share the ACE Award with Kevin Hailstock for being a trailblazer. All hail Kevin, a man of great character and belief!
