Akasha is a great yoga studio in Jackson, WY. The studio is nice and intimate. The teachers that I've had the pleasure of practicing with, all have had thoughtful, mindful and balanced sessions that both work to strengthen but they also work in the stretching and relaxing poses. The quality of instruction at the studio is of the highest caliber. The most compliments to Neesha and Kate for running outstanding classes. They are highly and diversely trained. The language used allows for an unprecedented level of bodily exploration. The yoga here is practical and deep - not trendy. I'm so happy to have found Akasha right after moving to Jackson. All of the classes seamlessly mix together the physical, emotional, and spiritual pieces of yoga without falling to narrowly in to one path - the offering is well-rounded, and each teacher is unique in what they bring to their practice. I stopped in on my way through driving from Alaska to Maine for some much needed stretching. The instructor (Vanessa, I think? ) was AMAZING! I hopped in for the $5 breathe and move class and was one of only 2 students in the class. She created a specially designed series specifically for travel and muscles that get sore from long drives. I learned a lot about poses I've been doing for years just from the way she described them. Would highly recommend to anyone who'd looking to deepen their practice.
