My two dogs (A 4 year old German Shepherd and a 3 year old Shiba Inu) returned from a 2 week board and train with Kassidy this past weekend. My dogs are extremely outgoing and would get overly excited over all things (people, dogs, cats). My fiance and I met with Kassidy in person a few months ago and I asked her 100 questions about how it would all work because my dogs are extremely spoiled. She told me that she could make our training meet our specific wants/needs. The baseline was we wanted to take them out in public without them pulling, barking, showing reactivity, and to listen to us with distractions. Our dogs now can heel, work off leash, do not pull when leashed, and ignore other dogs and people. I feel more than comfortable taking them out in public and going to family members homes without fenced in yards and letting my pups run around (no more tangled chains and leashes). I also know Kassidy spent consistent time with my dogs while at the training because 1. she knows all their silly quirks and personality traits, 2. my dogs clearly love her and are excited to see her, and 3. she allowed my dog to wear his FI tracking collar that showed me he was active throughout the day. Since the training has finished, I've messaged Kassidy several times with additional questions and she is always responsive and knowledgeable. She continues to help us with keeping up with training even though the board and train is complete. Also, Kassidy never makes me feel like I am asking her a dumb question, she is knowledgeable without being conceded. My dogs aren't perfectly fixed like magic, we still have training to do on our end as handlers and continuous practice for the dogs, but they are already much better than before. I know it can be intimidating to send your dogs away to a strangers house for two weeks, but I promise that it is 100% worth it to make them respectable members of society. More...

My dog River initially did a 2 week board and train with Kassidy last year as a 5 month old pup. He came back with great manners, recall, and off leash skills. Living in the city I was worried about getting a dog and all that goes into living downtown but after training with Kassidy I feel confident bringing him around large groups of people, walking on and off leash, and interacting with dogs around the neighborhood. River has spent additional time with Kassidy when I have busy work days or even when I have been on vacation. Kassidy is extremely knowledgable, responsive, and communicative. Kassidy has trained both of our “untrainable” dogs (Siberian Husky and Rottweiler) and they have never been more obedient. Her ability to get them to trust her, and themselves, around other dogs is incredible!! I never imagined they would thrive on chaotic environments, but they love to work and please people now. Kassidy is also so nurturing with them and boards them every time we need help. We cannot say enough about how our lives have improved at home with our fur babies because of her. SHE IS THE BEST!!! Choosing a two week “Board and Train” package with trainer, Kassidy Ziegel, was one of the best decisions we ever made! Our large, one-year-old Bernedoodle mix, Booker, was a super bright, energetic, loving dog. Think Border Collie who doesn’t herd. We‘d already spent a lot of time training him. He knew the basics but was easily distracted. He jumped on us. He pulled badly when we walked with him. He stranger-danger barked when anyone came to the door or passed him on leash. Because we live in a small condo in a city environment, and because my husband has balance issues, it was important for him to be better behaved. We spent an hour talking with Kassidy over coffee. I appreciated her positive approach to dogs, and her immediate grasp of Booker’s unique personality, problems and potential. So we scheduled a Board and Train package. When we turned Booker over to Kassidy for training, she approached him with “kind indifference.” She understood immediately that translated into “respect” for Booker. Kassidy let Booker race around her back yard with her own pups and could see Booker did well with other dogs. Throughout their training, Kassidy sent three videos every day so we could see how Booker was progressing. What a difference! Booker walked off leash with confidence, acquired good door manners, didn’t jump and was truly a good citizen dog! We were nervous at the “turnover.” The off leash training requires a use of a “clicker” that gives Booker a slight “vibration” that reminds him to pay attention. Managing our dog and the clicker took a bit of practice and we had to go back to Kassidy for a refresher course to learn how to manage the clicker. It was also a little scary—“Yeah, Booker did great, but what about us? Would he pay attention to us the way he did with Kassidy?” No. Not right away. He had to learn that we expected the same thing from him that Kassidy did. But he was so well trained, that it didn’t take much for him to get back into the groove. Kassidy is comfy and positive with dogs and people. Booker adores her! She gives her training dogs the intense training and consistency that’s hard for owners to achieve. Kassidy has been amazing to work with. Before we worked with Kassidy, our miniature dachshund Tucker was a handful (reactive, struggled with interacting with other dogs, etc. ) Now, Tucker is obedient to commands which has helped with structure and he loves playing with other dogs. During the training, Kassidy was great with giving us updates and sending pictures and videos. By far the best experience we’ve had with any training and or boarding. Kassidy helped to train my dog, Gilly, about a year ago and I honestly would never have another dog without going through her training program. The difference was immediate and lasting! Gilly went from a hyper puppy with limited obedience and poor leash manners, to a dependable lady who I can count on—all while remaining a happy and energetic pup. I have honestly had stranger stop us on walks to compliment her behavior! Kassidy also offers continual support after going through her training program. If I ever have a question or concern, I can text her for sound advice. I use her boarding services as well, about monthly, and Gilly has the BEST time in her care. I can’t even say Kassidy’s (or her dog Kaya's) name without Gilly getting excitement zoomies! When we pull up to her home, Gilly can’t wait to run immediately into the house! Kassidy did a board and train with my dog Haven. She is incredible with him. Throughout the training she sent us daily pictures, videos, updates, and a summary of what they did that day. It was amazing to see how much Haven had learned from her in such a short time. Now I can take him off leash without any worries, with good recall and manners. She also followed up a couple times and met with us one on one with some of her own dogs to help with some of Haven’s home territorial issues. I usually don’t trust a lot of people with taking care of Haven but I fully trust Kassidy with Haven!! Seeing how happy Haven gets when he sees her is very heart warming. I can see how much she cares for each and every one of her clients and puts their safety first. I recommend Kassidy to everyone looking for a trainer for their dog and I will continue to go to her in the future! More...

Kassidy did a board and train with our dog Ruby. Ruby came home with so much more confidence. The thing that struck me the most about Kassidy is her genuine compassion and love for animals. I knew I was leaving Ruby in good hands from the moment we met. She kept us updated with pictures, videos, reports and replied to any text messages I sent asking how she was. Our family has worked with Kassidy multiple times, and we’ve always had a great experience. Our dog Belle was lucky enough to Board and Train with Kassidy when she was about 5 months old. The difference was night and day. Since then, she has been her normal playful self, but so well behaved. The updates and pictures Kassidy sent throughout the process made us quickly realize we made the right decision, and the investment was so worth it. Belle learned so much so quick and it was amazing to see her progress. When we picked Belle up, Kassidy spent time with us showing what Belle learned and how to reinforce the good behavior. She mad sure our entire family had the knowledge to continue the progress Belle had made. Belle has boarded with Kassidy a few times after the training, and she gets so excited when she sees Kassidy. We know she’s being taken care of and loved. The piece of mind knowing your family member is in good hands means everything. While out and about with our now incredibly obedient pup we regularly say "man, Kassidy works miracles!" During COVID our rescue mutt started becoming reactive towards other dogs. We struggled working with her on this because her obedience was not where it should have been and we couldn't control any situations once she was worked up. It was defeating and exhausting. Kassidy turned this all around. After a board and train with her our dog listens to us, has a great, much less stressful time going out and about, and exists/plays with other dogs in a healthy, calm way. It's huge being able to take her out and about and trust her while living in a city and it's an amazing feeling to be able to take her hiking and swimming off leash and know we can always get her back to our side. Kassidy is the best of the best. We adopted Bella from a rough situation, her owner was arrested for assaulting the animal control officer who came to get her to safety…and that’s as much as we know. She endured a few weeks of transport and various foster situations before we met her. She was understandably not trusting and fearful of humans, especially men/ bearded people/ people in hats. It took her a long time to feel safe or comfortable at home too. She had reactivity issues on a leash, in a car, or anytime she was restricted/restrained or surprised in any way. She was easily startled and fearful/reactive towards everything; humans, dogs, doors opening, doorbells, and even just the noises on tv! Kassidy has shown Bella how to trust and have confidence, she is doing great with commands and knows what to do when she is feeling stressed or nervous. We will continue to work with Bella and return to Kassidy often for advice and refreshers. Bella is the type of dog that would have been put down in the shelter for behavior and reactivity if she wasn’t so cute or another breed. Kassidy trained Bella (and her humans) on how to get past these major issues so she can just be a dog and live her best life. We have done two rounds of two week board and train and recommend Kassidy to anyone in the area for any type of dog training goals (not just the extreme case we had). She is wonderful with Bella, and with us as well. She has a very approachable communication style, and is able to explain how and why we work on each new command or behavior. She is consistently giving us updates through Bella’s stay and kind but honest about our dogs progress, speed bumps, and the training plan moving forward. She sets realistic goals and expectations for both Bella and us to work on, as well as gives clear information on how to best continue the training and progress at home after the boarding session. We chose to do a second round because we had seen such amazing progress the first time and wanted to give Bella the best chance to continue to progress consistently. I can’t wait to see how she continues to gain confidence as we approach the one year mark with her, and we will be sure to stay in touch with Kassidy as we go since she has been so wonderful to work with! We adopted our hound (Vinny) at 6 months. He was a stray so we didn’t know his background. We needed help with reactivity around other dogs (and other animals in general) as well as keeping him on command when excited. We boarded him with Kassidy for three weeks and she worked wonders! Sent us videos and pictures all along the way, and made huge progress for Vinny around other dogs and in high traffic areas. We now board Vinny with Kassidy whenever we go out of town. She continues to work on his training and he loves going to her house. We cannot say enough about how great Kassidy is. She’s a life saver for us. Highly recommend. More...

We love Kassidy. More importantly our Rottweiler, Odin, loves Kassidy. We did a lot of research on trainers to get the right fit for us and we were lucky enough to find it with Kassidy. We started Odin’s training with one on one private lessons. We were trained as much as Odin was. Kassidy made sure we knew how to communicate with Odin so he understood what we wanted and needed from him. We were so impressed with the work she did with Odin that we enrolled him in her board and train program. For some special skills. We had looked into this prior to working with Kassidy and were concerned about Odin losing his personality. You see out big boy has a big personality. But after working with Kassidy we knew we had nothing to worry about. Odin came back from his board and train with all the skills that we had hoped for and then some. Kassidy continues to be a part of Odin’s learning and growing. Odin currently goes to Kassidy twice a week for doggie daycare.
