I have worked out with a trainer at Irons Fitness for over 5 years and was always pleased with the partnership approach in achieving my personal goals. Now in this stressful year, I am grateful for the smooth transition to virtual training that has kept me strong and flexible while maintaining my stamina level. More...

We have really enjoyed working with Nick. My wife and I have tried various other exercise regimens, but the individual training that we get at Iron Fitness is the only one that works for us. Nick is a lot of fun. Though he works us out hard, we always enjoy our sessions with him as he is such a pleasant and happy chap. We have come a long way in one year, thanks to Nick’s help, and hope to go even further next year. Even the pandemic has not impacted our training as we immediately switched to virtual meetings. We both highly recommend Nick and his gym. More...

Without the scheduled workouts, I might have just stayed in bed. Then, I'd look every one of my 76 years. With my workouts I'm up, active and stronger, and I was just told that it had been assumed that I was in my 60's.
I don't know how Nick always seems to know what I need, and I can't figure out how he gets me to do it, while keeping me smiling/laughing all the time.

I’ve worked with Nick at Irons Fitness for many years. I’m 75 yrs old and you’d never know it. I’m strong, fit and able to hike difficult terrain and run around with my grandkids. Thanks Nick!

Q&As

An Irons Fitness Personal Trainer will write custom-designed workouts for you, based on research-backed, client-tested training techniques. We will give you the workout of your life at home (or another place of your choosing) via FaceTime, Zoom or Skype.

This is personal training done remotely.

Our experienced Virtual Personal Trainers will show you the proper way to perform the exercises safely, correct your form as needed and keep you motivated in a supportive and fun way. Minimal or no equipment is needed for you to get a great workout.

The three most important things are:

1) Getting clear with your goals. What would the perfect body look like for you? What would it feel like? How would it move?

2) Having a plan. Once you know what your goals are, you need a plan to get there.

3) Consistency. Having a exercise routine you love and sticking with it.

The favorite part of my job is making a difference in the lives of my clients. Whether it's clients walking better despite their chronic neurological diseases, or clients being able to run a marathon, or clients being able to get off their blood pressure medication, or
clients skiing pain-free for the first time in years or clients reaching new heights in their sport...I love seeing clients succeed.

My dad has multiple sclerosis. I've always wanted to do something to help him. So I swam the Mississippi River and biked 10,000 miles three years later to raise money and awareness for M.S. Yes...crazy as that sounds.
I knew I could use my skills to help him in other ways. I became a personal trainer. I began to see how much he was gaining and decided to expand to helping others.
Thus, the beginning of Irons Fitness, a Personal Training Studio in Bethesda, MD and a Remote Personal Training business nationwide.

Irons Fitness has put together a "dream team" of trainers. We pride ourselves in being among the best trainers in the Washington DC area.

We have over 50 years of combined experience.
We all hold advanced certifications.
We have been nationally ranked athletes and competed at college and pro levels.
We love fitness. This is not just a job for us. It is our passion.
We have been featured in nearly every form of media in the country, including; The Today Show, Good Morning America, ESPN, USA Today, The Washington Post, Washingtonian Magazine, and Bethesda Magazine.
