Absolutely brilliant service. Chris was fantastic and being clear in his guidance around how I can manage the pups barking and reactions. The training was mire designed for my behaviours which our two pups responded to almost instantly. I would highly recommend Chris and will definitely follow up if required to ensure the learnings today are on track.

Highly recommend these guys! Our girl Ellie has been with them since 5 months old and she’s really thrived being a part of their pack. She’s made so many friends there and always comes back home happy and ready for a big nap. Our girl gets so excited for daycare that she sits at the window in the mornings looking for the daycare van to come down our street, once she sees it her tail wags like mad and she runs to the door, she honestly loves daycare days so much! Minke and Phillip care for their daycare dogs like they are their own and always do what’s best for them. They are always happy to cater for our girls needs whether it’s her special dietary requirements, having lunch while at daycare, administering her medication ect I honestly can’t think of anyone else I would rather have look after my pup 🥰

I have been going there for many many years I'm on my second dog there.its great you go from puppy stage and you can move all the way up even if you want to do fall on obedience but you don't have to you can join Keith's group. this is where you can learn excellent recall which you need in an off-leash dog park and also to get your dog to stop or down immediately very important
With 20 years of hands-on experience, I am both an Accredited Canine Behaviour Consultant and a Certified Dog Training Professional. My approach is safe, practical, ethical, and evidence-based in science. I also work with a variety of veterinarians nationwide, as well as collaborate with numerous dog rescue organisations assisting families with their new dog, and setting them both up for success. I specialise in a wide spectrum of cases and behaviour, ranging from puppy behavioural development to common issues like barking and leash reactivity to more complex ones such as anxiety-related behaviours, separation and isolation distress, severe trauma, fear reactivity, and aggression. Taking a holistic approach, I work with families and their dogs to enhance their bond and emotional well-being. My aim is to create a relationship of mutual trust by helping you understand your canine companion's unique nature. I tailor my behaviour and training programs to suit each individual and their family lifestyle. I employ clear communication cues and a variety of rewards without resorting to harsh training methods that rely on punishment, correction, or intimidation. Please see my website to contact me for more information.
I love the smallest achievements in my job. The smallest ones are usually the most rewarding for me because of knowing how far the dog has come.
I love meeting new people every day and helping them with their challenges. It’s an amazing feeling to be welcomed into somebody’s home, and being trusted with their pet that they love so much.
I love working with different dogs and the complexities of behavioural issues.
I love problem-solving and creating behaviour modification and management plans for families to set them up for success as much as possible.
The biggest love I have is when I see all the hard work the family puts in - when it starts to come all together and work.
I’ve had many ups and downs being a behavioural consultant and trainer, but the people and the dogs I work with make my job amazing!
I was blessed to have been born into the industry. My mother is a clinical behaviourist and had grown up learning about behaviour and training.
I have worked with dogs and their families for 20 years and I have never had to resort to outdated methods that include intimidation, correction, or adverse training methods. My training programs are safe, practical, and effective.
Training dogs is a science that requires a deep understanding of how the canine mind works. Dogs are a part of our family, and yes, it is frustrating when they don’t respond when you ask them to do something, or overwhelming when they behave in a manner that you don’t like, it can even be embarrassing. However, training them to ‘obey your commands’ using harsh training methods is risky and counterproductive.
I believe in teaching my dog skills in a humane manner, ensuring that they understand and willingly comply to requests because they want to, not because they are scared of what will happen if they don’t.
Yes, I do both. If you are outside the Auckland area, please reach out through my website and I will set up a video consultation.
I follow the guidelines given when needed and respect each person's preference.
