He had a number of disappointing experiences with national franchise care providers and felt that things could & should be improved. We have built a local organisation, headquartered in Hove, that offers a full range of services to enable independent living at home.

Person-centred care:
Our Registered Manager will meet with you to design a home-care plan tailored to your needs and preferences. We would also love to hear your wishes and dreams too!
Dignity and respect:
We will treat you with dignity and respect at all times while you're receiving care and treatment. This means having privacy when you need and want it. Everybody will be treated as an equal.
Consent:
We will ask for your consent (or anybody legally acting on your behalf) before any care or treatment is given to you.
Staffing:
We only employ people who can provide high quality care and treatment with compassion. We have strong recruitment procedures in place and carry out enhanced DBS checks for any criminal records and applicant’s work history. We will ensure we have enough suitably qualified, competent and experienced staff to make sure we can meet these standards. Our staff will be given the support, training and supervision they need to help them do their job. We are Living Wage employers and also pay our caregivers paid travel, paid training and paid holiday. We also encourage and reward staff to make your wishes and dreams come true. Safety:
We will make sure care and treatment is free from risk of harm and that any danger is avoided. We will assess the risks to your health and safety during any care or treatment and make sure our staff have the qualifications, competence, skills and experience to keep you safe.
Safeguarding from abuse:
We will make sure you do not suffer from any form of abuse or improper treatment while receiving care. This includes: neglect, degrading treatment, unnecessary or disproportionate restraint, inappropriate limits on your freedom, food and drink.
Food and drink:
We will make sure you have enough to eat and drink to keep you in good health while you receive care and treatment from Kingsway Care.
Complaints:
You must be able to complain about your care and treatment. We have a system in place to handle and respond to your complaint. We must investigate complaints thoroughly and take action if problems are identified.
Good governance:
We have plans in place to ensure we can meet these standards. We have effective governance and systems to check on the quality and safety of the care we are delivering. These help us improve and reduce any risks to your health, safety and welfare.
Duty of candour:
We strive to be open and transparent with you about your care and treatment. Should something go wrong, we will tell you what has happened, provide support and apologise.
Technology at home:
Our aim is to enhance our person-centred care with technology such as sensors and GPS alarms to enable you or your loved one to live independently, healthily and safely at home. Our team will visit to discuss what is available and if it could benefit you. Technology means we can come up with early intervention strategies whilst also allowing CareGivers to do what they do best and deliver exceptional care.

Our leadership, management and governance of the organisation assures the delivery of high-quality person-centred care. We support learning, career growth and innovation and promote an open and fair culture.
We also have a "Caring For Our CareGivers Pledge" which we can share with you. Well trained, respected, rewarded happy CareGivers means better care for our Clients.
We provide an initial phone or video call to understand clients needs and introduce Kingsway Care. We then offer an home visit with a complimentary “Kingsway Care Home Safety Assessment”. The second home visit will be to review your agreed plan, with an introduction of proposed CareGiver/s (home care) or Personal Assistant (companionship).
Kingsway Care works hard and is committed to ensuring that our Clients get the support that they need to live well and safely at home. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic we focused heavily on infection control and we continue to ensure that our caregivers take this area of support seriously for all clients. At Kingsway Care we enable independent living which is focused on individual needs, likes and social connections. Of course we also continue to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our Care Givers as key workers who deliver this vital care at home.
