Michelle has specialized in the art of newborn and children's photography for over 13 years. She is an experience, award winning and published portrait artist. One perk of her newborn studio includes a separate, smaller studio to prevent infants from being exposed to germs generally around with a high traffic of children. Michelle has cultivated the "Fairy Gardens", right outside the door of her studio. She has an acre and a half of flower filled landscape just right for beautiful portraits of your newborn outdoors. Babies are not kept outdoors but rather posed in the studio and then brought out to take the shot. Michelle also works with Carriage Farm and Stampede of Love to provide young children with miniature horses and ponies if they wish to have images taken with animals. It's a wonderful experience for your child as well as a photo shoot. For safety Michelle always uses a horse handler even though the miniature horses are tiny and used as therapy horses in children's hospitals. I love to watch the children grow up, year after year. The babies are also so sweet, it makes you laugh and smile to see them in such cute poses. I love the looks are parents and grandparents faces as I am working with their new baby.
Several friends who were diagnosed with cancer asked me to take photos of them with their children. At the time I had a point and shoot camera and had no idea what I was doing. The photos made a huge difference in the lives of those people.
Clients should choose my studio for newborns because I am experienced and the infant will be safe and handled properly, the photos will be lovely and I have the fairy gardens that are unique to my studio in Raleigh NC.
Senior clients should choose my studio because I am adventurous and fun and go the extra mile to make your images special. If you are shy you won't be with me.
You should choose me to photograph your child because my photography mostly focuses on children as I have never worked a day in my life that children were not part of that day. Having worked with children my entire life helps me to form quick relationships with the wonderful little people that I photograph. God gave me a special gift. I have always known that my gift was the ability to interact with young people in a way that makes them feel heard, important and valued. Many parents have commented that their children, even the shy ones, seem very comfortable while having their pictures taken.
