Katie is the best yoga and pilates practitioner in Kona. I've taken numerous classes with her and she really helps you feel that inner mind-body-soul connection. Â I leave her classes feeling centered, I have more clarity and peace of mind. Â Of course, that may not last in today's busy world, but thank goodness there's another Katie class I can take! Â I recommend her all day long!

I tried 3 facilities bf deciding on FF. They have the friendliest staff, cleanest place and most varied equipment. Even the customers are chill and happy. It makes me want to go back and I'm bummed if I miss a day! They frequently move around the lesser equipment and I think that's a great idea. Makes me think they probably clean a lot! I love the huge showers. They really made the locker room nice. A while back the a/c was out but owning an a/c company in Hawaii for the past 31 yrs I know what getting parts is like. By the time it gets here from NY it can be the wrong one or have another problem or who knows! We've had parts houses say they have to 'make' the part! Crazy. Best if everyone just understands and accepts that's the price of living on a rock in the middle of the Pacific.

Came to visit Rick and had the opportunity to meet the wonderful people he trains and surrounds himself with!
The MOST AMAZING story is a 3 year post Stroke Survivor, Kevin Reinhardt who we got to witness finishing his first 70.3 mini Triathlon, thank to the help and training of Rick Rubio!
What an AMAZING story of dedication and will power and determination, Kevin!
You're a LUCKY guy to have the guidance of Rick Rubio!
He may be my brother, but I am EXTREMELY PROUD of his LOVE for helping others!

I took spin classes in So Cal for 3-4 years from large gyms such as 24 Hr Fitness and the YMCA, and will tell you that those spinning studios have NOTHING on SpinLuvPlay. What makes this studio so special? Let me count thy ways:1. The owner Jackie has incredible heart for her community, and this studio is her way of giving back to the community. She has created a safe, welcoming, supportive and judgement-free zone for men/women/keiki with her kindness and enthusiasm.2. Her instructors must be carefully curated for their heart, soul and humor- I've never had an instructor who didn't show incredible passion for their craft. Justine is particularly funny (a bona fide comedienne)!3. Rates are very affordable- there are many specials and promotions that fit most budgets.4. Class variety is plentiful - there are AM, PM, weekday and weekend classes, and something for everyone. I love the spin choreo classes, as they include upper body weight work (helps to be balanced!), and the extended 90 min classes that also include floorwork. 5. Conveniently located - the space is safe (not all gyms/studios are in such nice areas), and it's easy to dash into Longs or KTA after to run errands.6. Bikes are distanced, sanitized and cool/comfortable.7. High energy - if you're like me, and enjoy a change from the usual (in my case, walks/runs...this is a great opportunity to do some cross training, give your 'regular' muscles a break, and soak up a positive, high-energy (the music pulsates, and time passes quickly) in a cool (strong AC) environment.8. Easy to navigate- the webpage and app make it easy to buy and book classes. Not every gym has such easy to use technology. If you want to support a small, locally owned business and get in shape with a fun group of like-minded folks...you will definitely appreciate this unique, boutique studio. Check it out!!!
