Ron Halfhill drew up the conceptual drawings and completed the finalized drawings for my extension & major remodel. He offered valuable suggestions & recommendations while also preserving the ideas, images, & viewpoints that were most important to me. Ron also marshaled my project through the permit process, which is particularly arduous in Palo Alto. It was essential that our permit application be approved prior to 2020 when a new version of the building code, with a number of additions & changes, became effective. Ron spent a lot of time in the offices of the planning department, and the application was finally approved during the last week of December 2019. The approval of the permit was even more challenging given the delays, closed offices, & absence of city services in 2020. But Ron managed to jump through all the hoops, meet all the deadlines, and was instrumental in obtaining my permit.

I have hired Ron Halfhill from Verdant Ventures for two major projects, and both came out fantastic!

The first was a master bathroom remodel, where Ron made great suggestions, helped me narrow down my choices and supported me with drawings and permits. The result was a modern and very well thought out master bathroom that I enjoy every day.

The second was a complete remodel of a condo, from the studs up. Again, Ron’s advice turned out to be Instrumental to the success of the project. Our realtor referred Ron as architect for our project to build a new house.
