Describe your creative process.
We want to understand the big picture of each business. We have a very deep understanding of most businesses just from being in the business so long, but each business had unique qualities. Once we have an understanding of the business and have our task for creating the marketing piece we develop our creative concepts, ensure proof of concept with our customer, incorporate their feedback into the initial proofs and finalize our design to meet our client's expectations.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
This depends largely on the project to be completed. If developing a logo we have discussions with the client to understand what might be in their "mind's eye" in terms of graphical elements, colors and end product. If we are developing a brochure, we need to have the content and any existing high quality graphics that may be available. We provide our clients with a list of items that may be needed for each project.
What do you love most about your job?
The creativity of course. There is a joy we feel when we create the perfect design for our customers and hear their appreciation and pride using their new marketing materials to promote their business.
What inspired you to start your own business?
People began referring friends and family to us asking if they could hire us for side work afterhours. After a month or two it was obvious we were busy enough to have our own business, so we went into business for ourselves and never looked back.
