Classy, clean, and comfortable. We enjoyed our 2nd year staying here on a business trip. There is a wonderful back deck with fire ring, wine and cheese at night, and breakfast.

We recently stayed at the Inn and it was a definite change from the chain hotels. It sits right off 108 the photos made me think it was more secluded. We were greeted promptly and everything was ready no waiting. Our room was on the second floor small but cozy, our tub was jetted and it had multiple shower heads. The balcony was shared with multiple units and needed some tlc nothing a leaf blower couldn't handle. We opted for breakfast which was made from scratch fresh eggs, bacon, and pancakes.Cons no ice machine so the oj was room temperature and if there is an event going on common areas are off limits. Our table wobbled I think the legs needed to be tightened. It's a drive if you want dinner either the mall or Dobbin rd corridor.Con we had a king bed, however we received two twin pillows? The sheets were clean and soft, however the mattress made me sore we requested additional pillows we received two more twin pillows. I ended up buying on so that I could sleep.Hopefully they will do some ground maintenance and clean the patio area, also get better pillows for the rooms. Its interesting how this place is both homey and sexy. Common areas have grandmas house feel but the rooms are edgy and stylish. Loved it for our romantic getaway! It's nestled on a country road but within 10 minutes of a lively mall with plenty of food and fun options if u want to leave the inn. Lovely food and great service. Be aware that some rooms are on the 3rd floor - no elevator. We were just travelling, but this would be a great place for a long romantic weekend - easy access to Annapolis and Baltimore.

Only exception being the iron bridge restaurant, which is fantastic & you can walk to, (no proper sidewalk and busy road tho) but is a little upscale for routine use.Overall, definitely a superior experience to the local chains, will definitely go back. Patricia, Cynthia, and David were wonderful hosts, enthusiastic about the property, and did everything to insure a great stay. The Columbia Inn is clean and bright, and extraordinarily well maintained. It is obvious that great care has been taken to create a pleasant, homey atmosphere. I should particularly mention David, whose grace and humor in showing us around were welcoming and uplifting. If the entire reason you go to a bed and breakfast is for the bed and breakfast, then the Columbia Inn is the perfect place. The bed is remarkably comfortable, as are the pillows, to the point that my wife, who seldom weighs in on my reviews, insisted that I mention how great the beds are. Likewise, the breakfast was perfect, with some fruit and juice, in addition to the obligatory coffee, and made to order omelettes. We were at the Columbia Inn with relatives who seldom stay at beds and breakfasts, but we heard them say, several times, that the accommodations at the Columbia Inn were such that they were going to rethink future plans for stays. That is certainly a compliment to the staff and the facility at the Columbia Inn at Peralynna, and a well deserved one, at that. We have stayed at many beds and breakfasts (you can check my profile), and we found the Columbia Inn to be one of the best experiences we have had.We certainly enjoyed our stay at The Columbia Inn, and we find ourselves now looking for an excuse to return.
