Very best cab company in Honolulu.  You can schedule a ride for any time of the day almost even for early AM ride .  Never was late to a scheduled  ride to the airport.  Taxi drivers come even if it's short trip unlike some taxi drivers don't want to pickup customer for short distance trips in which they don't make much money.  Uber/lyft drivers are notorious for that.  Beware some dishonest drivers who take you for a ride. They test your knowledge of the road and if you don't know the area they take the long way instead of the quickest way. More...

Today I had the BEST TheCab driver EVER! Her name was Deborah Buono and she was fantastic! She was personable and shared great stories about Honolulu and her growing up years. I was traveling with my mother and both ladies are similarly aged so they connected, too, particularly since my mother was born and raised on O'ahu, too. It was a quick ride out to the airport but Deborah did a great job of making us feel comfortable and was really friendly and kind for the duration of our ride. I know some people have had bad experiences with them, but I've used them often in the past and still do occasionally. I do have a car, BUT I hate driving. That's probably the only thing in this world that will give me horrible anxiety. Today's driver a.k.a 996 was AWESOME. He was so sweet, funny, and genuine during the car ride and as I reached my destination. I wish I knew his name, but they only refer to the driver by their cab number? I called the office and spoke to a lady and she was also so very helpful and sweet. When I had called her to ask for my drivers name she asked me if there was a complaint that I needed to file. Lol I guess it's odd for a customer to call them back and praise them for such good service. Haha. I've rode multiple different companies. You'll come across drivers with different personalities and styles. But when you encounter a good driver, remind them that they're awesome. Don't get me wrong, I like using the service with my client but at times actually 3 times so far I had this same driver yoon byong he has the most smelliest CRV! And he's gas happy, break happy and likes to cut in between cars! And he takes the longest way to our destination, and don't follow directions, I think a cab driver should know his/her way around! He had no A/C I guess in his CRV he always has his windows down and not to mention he's abit rude, sorry I didn't tip you yesterday because of our ride back home wasn't pleasant, have a good day Mr. Byong I hope I don't get you again next week!! On Fri Sept 09, 2016, The Cab bailed me out of a huge nasty rental car scam (NEVER RENT A CAR FROM ECONOMY IN HONOLULU). The attendant on the phone, ~4:30pm, was very helpful, compassionate, living aloha. She had a vehicle to me in 5 minutes. I rode the cab tonight 2/16/16 from Ala Moana Shopping mall to Kalihi area and it was raining like cats and dogs, unicorns, and monkeys also wild pigs and bats! sheeeesh haha. Yes its a 5 star company! Â I dont speak for everyone who catches cabs but i catch/ride the cab 5+ times a week. Im not rich or anything , just a normal person who likes to sleep in as long as I possibly can. Sometimes I would miss my bus so i would call. There are a few disbatch operators I can name. Christy, Vanessa, Aunty Mary, Aunty Lily, and Dorian. They are very friendly and if you call enough times they joke around with you. Sometimes its These ladies that start off my day. They start me off with a smile. I live Kapolei area and know to call AT least 30mins-45mins especially on sunday. Pearl ridge area has more drivers as well as town. Like many, I think the movie theater ad for The Cab is hysterical... So naturally, when I found myself needing a last minute right to the airport to avoid having to pay to park my car their, I thought of the ad, laughed a bit, and started my online order. I decided to order a cab a couple hours in advance using their online service, to ensure I didn't have to wait for whatever reason. My driver arrived about 5 minutes early in a well kept, cool temp, good smelling car... And promptly offered helped me w/ my luggage. We were on the road to the airport in no time! Driver was courteous during the drive, he politely asked a couple brief questions about my trip, and then left me be to play on my phone (I.e. Write my yelp review, hehe!.)Upon arrival at my terminal, the driver opened the door for me, then proceeded to get my luggage out of the trunk while I exited the car/signed card charge.Overall, I had a great experience with The Cab & will use them again whenever a cab is called for! :) More...

I honestly don't have much to complain about...I've never had a really bad experience with The Cab. Â For one thing, the phone number is easy to remember. Â One four and the rest are 2s. Â I'm always able to get an operator to send a cab to wherever I am. Â The cab drivers I've had were always friendly, and didn't complain about me paying with my card. Â Every driver I've had even made small talk with me, which I appreciated. Â The only gripe I have is that the GPS systems need to be improved. Â My last 2 cab rides, I've had to give the drivers directions to my destination. Â It was fine, since I knew the way to my destinations. Â But what if I didn't? Shayna in the office is GREAT! We've been desperately looking for our cell phone we left in a cab Wednesday night...it has our casual wedding photos and a lot of critical info on it:( We called again today. She totally cared and was so nice on the phone and took down our info, paged the drivers and told us to call back during the night shift. It's a normal cab experience. Sometimes it's funny. Sometimes it smells. Sometimes it's confusing. Sometimes they can't find you. Sometimes there's sticky seats. Sometimes they blare the radio, sometimes they don't. Sometimes they have those beaded seat things for themselves and you wonder why you don't get one... and sometimes you just rip it off their seat like a ripcord to see the expression on their face... and sometimes the cab crashes. Called the easiest number in the world to remember and received GREAT service.  Within 15 minutes of me calling I saw a smiling face coming to pick us up at the  Matson Vehicle Processing Center.  He waited for us and then got us back home.  He was friendly and engaged in light conversation.  We are flying out later tonight and he was a great last experience for us!!!  Great job Ahmed!!!!!!! We had a great experience with the Cab Co from start to finish! It was the only Company that answered their phones in a courteous  manner and she continued the call extremely pleasant as well! We were picked up from Honolulu (airport area) and brought to downtown Waikiki. We called ahead and the cab showed up early! The driver was professional and polite, he dropped us right at the door of the restaurant we were going! At the end of the night, I called again to receive the same outstanding customer service over the phone and a driver came pretty quick! We were surprised to see him so soon after we called! My mother in law booked The Cab for all of your misc. touristy needs. Â She hooked up with one driver the whole time. Â Â We had them pick us up from the airport. Â They took us to our sight seeing destinations and back to the airport when leaving.When the whole family was traveling we booked two vans, both were driven by the husband and wife team that took amazing care of us.They totally accommodated my son and his car seat. Â We even needed to make an emergency stop for snacks and drinks for the little guy because I accidentally forgot his to go bag back at the hotel. Â Our driver was more than accommodating. Â It also helped that she was a mom too and completely understood.I highly suggest calling this cab service if you have the money to do so. Liquor store called the company for me and they got there in time. Â Knew where I was going, took the wrong cut off, but he was following the GPS locator. Â Waited patiently for me to pay him since I didn't have the money on me at the time. Â Only thing wrong is he didn't run the air conditioning for me during the drive. I have used The Cab a couple of times know. The main reason is that the phone number is so easy to remember! HAHAHA...That aside, I have always found them to be reliable! They arrive on time, their drivers are courteous and professional...and my last trip, the driver, Tony, really hooked it up!I was making a trip from PC to Mililani. Normally a $36 trip. I was expecting the very same this trip. To my surprise, Tony found a fare from Mililani taking him to Waikiki. He turns and asks if I would consider a flat rate fare as he had the luck of a great long haul return trip! Sure!!! Why not for $25, I got my trip to Mililani and he got his fare to Waikiki!I tipped him the difference and asked for his card. Great guy. When I called the Charlie's Taxi, did not come as scheduled, one very rude Charlie's driver has been refusing/ignoring me . .. My experience with The Cab has actually been favorable compared to the other reviewers. My usual route is pretty straightforward and short though - Point A to B - home in Salt Lake to and from the airport when needed. The cabdrivers might be disappointed that my fare is relatively low with my short ride - but oh well! The last time I used The Cab, I scheduled a ride from home to the airport 1-2 hours in advance. I received a text message when a cab was dispatched to my place. Unexpected but appreciated! The cab arrived right on time too! The text included info about an app for the iphone: Taxi Magic. Tried to use The Cab's online reservation system this afternoon. Â When it didn't work I called the dispatcher (808)422-2222. Â Yes, I still remember. Â I told the dispatcher that I wanted to be picked up in 15 minutes on an unpaved, hard to locate street. Â Within 5 minutes, I received a call on my cell from the cab driver saying he would arrive in 2 minutes. Â How prompt!Even before we got into the cab the driver was already cracking jokes and recommending great places for us to go. Â I creeped on his cabbie license so I could give him a shoutout. After calling 3X and waiting for Charley's Taxi for 45min to never arrive, TheCab saved the day! They were fast, very friendly (our driver was quite the character! ) and although I had heard they cost more, we were charged the same amount as we were with Charley's on a previous trip. The Yang? Ok. I didn't mind my cabbie carting me off at warp factor 9 from Liholiho to `Iolani Court Plaza. Hell, we got there in record time. No doubt. Too bad I wanted `Iolani Palace. Ok. Now the Yin! TheCab has frequently rescued my lame monkey-butt from aimless meanderings 'round town in the hot, hot, hot sun. Most notably an ill-fated steamy romp to Cafe Maharani from Stan Sheriff Center to find they weren't open yet. (Duh.) TheCab swept me off my aching arches 8 minutes after calling. And who didn't gripe aloud about my reeking up their ride with lamb, garlic, turmeric, cilantro, coriander, long green chilies, and other exotic spices emanating from every pore as I stumbled sweaty, stuffed, and gassy out of Cafe TajMahal on a mission to Makiki? TheCab. Why do I like TheCab? 1) I've had quick responses when called no matter how random my locale. 2) Friendly cabbies who let me believe my jokes are funny. 3) Reasonably clean cabs. 4) Takes credit cards unlike the Neolithic cabs back home that only take cash. If I need to go somewhere, I need to go FAST. The Cab has the biggest fleet of taxis in Hawaii (about 1000 I think), which means there's probably one near me and I don't have to wait for long. The best part is the phone number: 422-2222. Forget Google let alone the yellow pages, this is easier to remember than Pizza Hut's digits. And the police if you're out of the country. And your significant other's birthday. Hands down the best taxi service in Hawaii. You'll dig it--and if you don't, at least you'll get to where you need to be on-time and in one piece. YAY. More...
