I grew up in Chicagoland so enjoying hot dogs is part of my DNA. I also lived in NYC decades back, so I enjoyed the dogs from the street vendor carts (I think Chicago dogs are better). A friend of mine who grew up in New Jersey, but has lived in Denver for 30 years told me to go to Steve's. If Steve is on premise, that alone is a treat. He's a very congenial guy and is all about customers having a great experience. This is a great dive if your visiting the zoo or museum in Denver. Don't let the rough outside fool you the hot dogs are amazing and the staff is always so nice it keeps my family coming back.

I live in Longmont and U was down in Denver taki g my dad to his VA appointment in Aurora He was hungry and craving a hot dog. I told him I knew just the place. Not only is this place the greatest hot dog restaurant in the world with a hugely diverse menu but it also functions as a museum.
