My husband and I visited this great little escape for some rest and relaxation. We enjoyed the coed steam room, whirlpool, and cold plunge pool - they were right sized for the two of us. Facility was clean and staff were helpful. May have felt too small if too many others were there so I'd recommend asking about number of guests when booking. I had previously been going to see a plastic surgeon. I didn't have much knowledge in the difference in what they specialize in compared to other types of establishments that treat your skin. I had been getting Botox, which was costly, to soften the forehead lines and other problem areas because a doctor there coldly told me, "There was nothing I could do to improve the look of my skin."  She suggested fillers. Which, after paying a few thousand dollars for micro-needling they recommended, which had zero result, they then told me it doesn't help much unless I add the stem cells into it, which cost about 1200 per session. So, after being lied to about the results of micro-needling, then being told something else, I decided to get a second opinion.  I am so grateful for Letha and Dr. Wiggins!  They value integrity and really want to help you feel good about you!  After only one treatment of the 1540 NanAblative resurfacing, I noticed a tremendous difference!  The second treatment has done wonders and I cannot wait for my third. I'm in Portland for my birthday so wanted to treat myself. This place was listed as one of the best spas in Portland so wanted to check it out. It costs $25 for an hour to have access to the shower, hot pool, cold pool, and steam room and is $15 for every subsequent hour. They give you a robe, towel, and sandals to use and if you forgot your swimsuit they'll let you use one of theirs for free. I found free two hour street parking around the corner and saw the meter maid lurking around so got the impression that you wouldn't want to push your luck and try to stay longer here. When I checked in I had professional and courteous service and was given a small tour. The amenities are basic, but are a pretty good deal for the price. I pretty much had the place to myself too on a Wednesday at 11 a.m. and there was only one other woman in the pool with me for about 10 minutes. Everyone had soft lowered voices or didn't speak at all--which is super important for relaxation in a spa environment.I would definitely say I had a good experience, but it was missing a unique touch that would make me want to go out of my way to come back. Maybe giving a small vegan dark chocolate piece of covered fruit at the end would have been a nice touch. Or warm towels. Or fancy accessories to the shower. It just didn't rise to the level of 5 stars for me. Still a good experience though especially for those who already live in Portland and are not traveling from out of town like me. More...

I'm so glad I found this gem of a place! I went to get a B12 shot and a massage. I also had full use of their amenities before my massage. I LOVE this place. I come here for massages. It's sort of got this Italian underground grotto feel, without being creepy, and although it's sorta small, everything is high quality, super clean and the staff is really friendly and helpful. Plus this place is Burner owned (I believe), so extra points for that. I recommend Edwin as a masseuse. Beautiful, clean, tranquil facility. I was greeted very quickly, Kylie was very kind and polite, and then introduced to Lori. She was great. It was my first time doing acupuncture so I was a little nervous, but Lori talked me through everything she was doing and what it does, etc. and put my mind at ease. She was conversational, but also allowed me to relax in silence. She also accommodated me because I was late to my appointment. Overall it was a great experience. Edwin is by far the most gifted massage therapist I have ever had the pleasure of being the client of... His 90 minute hot stone massage is simply magical.  I don't know how he does it, but it literally puts you in a trance.  I recently treated my boyfriend to a birthday massage and it was literally the highlight of his day, if not month.  He was spellbound as well and was like a limp noodle at the end...  Edwin is truly a one-of-a-kind massage therapist and I am incredibly fortunate to have found him! I have honestly had the best experience here, better than any other spa I have been to in ten years!!! Dr. Griffin is exceptional! So warm and kind and she really takes the time to explain everything and make you feel comfortable. I have been to sooo many spas and not one compares to the customer service of Sante. I had a concern after a treatment and they were so helpful and gracious- they just wanted to make sure I was happy! DONT GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!  This is the best spa in Portland hands down. I should say that my experience at Sante was great start to finish but this review is specifically about Bryndl.  When I walked into my appointment last week I was kind of a nervous wreck.  I was Christmas gifted a peel by a coworker and was simultaneously excited and really nervous.  So nervous that I booked the appointment two months out to give me time to mentally prepare.  I have really sensitive skin (why was I under the impression acne magically goes away as an adult..lies, Lies!) and if you have sensitive skin you're gonna understand me on this: I can't just put anything on my face and assume it'll be okay.  So I walk into my appointment with worst case scenario thoughts and I'm kind of ready to call the whole thing off.  Bryndl met me and she just immediately gives off the vibe that all is well.  She has such a calm and warm disposition.  She asked me to talk about my skin and what I was hoping for out of the appointment.  She could tell I was scared and listened to my fears and and went over options and her recommendations.  She said that I could follow through with the peel and she'd be happy to adjust it and tone it down a bit but after talking we went with microdermabrasion instead.  She said she wanted to get to know my skin a bit to see how it would react to certain things and I couldn't have agreed more.  So even though this meant a little longer of an appointment (she had the time), she was totally cool with changing the service to suit me and my skin care needs.  I almost cried with joy...no joke.The appointment itself was amazing.  Scalp massage, hand massage, even the microderm was relaxing.  It was peaceful, calm, rejuvenating.  I'm not chatty and I think she sensed and respected that and let me just relax and enjoy the experience and yet was still available to answer questions along the way and always gave me a heads up  on what she was doing, etc.I loved it so much that I booked my next appointment that day and am so looking forward to it!  I can't recommend her enough. I go to Hannah for facials and she's fantastic. Good attention to detail, nice relaxing scalp and facial massage and I love the products they use (Eminence and Epionce). Wish there was a hand/arm massage thrown into the 60 minute facial, but I'm definitely a repeat customer. The spa area is lovely, although I think its a little cheap (or maybe I'm cheap :)) that $15 extra is charged for use of the spa facilities, in addition to the charge of your service. At most spas you would receive access to the facilities, in addition to the price of the service, but I digress. Massages aren't as good for the price, but there's not many spa/massage facilities in Portland, so if you're looking for more of a spa experience I would definitely recommend this place. Came here with my best-friend for a relaxing saturday spa treat! We were celebrating both of our birthdays and\ enjoyed the facility and our treatments (for the most part). We came an hour early to make use of the spa pools, heated room, massage chairs, steam room etc. We changed into robes and were treated with 2 glasses of rosé. . . nice! I had asked for spa / infused fruit water but they didn't have any.I got a swedish massage from Edwin. It was incredible - right amount of pressure and adjusted as needed. My friend really enjoyed her facial as well, however think one of the extractions was on a pore that wasn't ready yet so it became a bit inflammed.Overall, really fun place to relax! More...

Brindle and Hannah were friendly, professional and passionate about their work. I love the space at Sante and my service (a 90-minute facial) was excellent, so I plan to visit again, for sure! The only issue I had was with trying to figure out the protocol with robes, etc. (it was my first visit). It seemed you had to ask for a robe (I've had a lot of spa treatments at many places (domestically and internationally) and this is the first time I wasn't given a robe upon being shown the ladies locker room). By the time I figured out that I had to request one, it was time for my treatment. I suppose I could have used all of the facilities after my treatment, but decided to just go. (Another new client was also visiting that day and she asked me about the robe situation...she was also a bit confused by the somewhat unorthodox approach of not offering one automatically).All in all it was a great experience and one of the best facials I've ever had. This place is insane! Posh and tranquil! The pictures don't even do it justice. The hot tub is great and the water is crystal clear, the cold tub is the perfect temp. I love being able to hop back and forth. I love the sun room, at first I wasn't sure if I was going to like sitting in rocks but I loved the grounding feeling. I'm glad I'm not the only one who appreciates Himalayan sea salt. It's a great idea. I met an old friend there who had had some Botox and laser treatments and they looked 5 years younger, totally natural and not frozen. I had never been fond of these treatment in the past, but I may have to try them now. I can't believe I just found out about this place! What a gem, I can't wait to go back. A girlfriend and I were visiting Portland for a mom's weekend away, and having a massage was the only way to start our trip. I had my first Naturopathy appointment with Dr. Costello last night, and I cannot say enough good things about her! My last doctor did not make me feel like she was interested in my well being at all, so my experience last night was 1,000% better! Dr. Costello is extremely thorough in trying to understand your health concerns and what is going on in your body. I felt comfortable telling her what was going on, and felt like I could trust her recommendations on how to solve the problems I am having. I was amazed by how much she explained to me about the way certain things affect my health. No doctor I have ever had has taken the time to do that for me. The minute I walked into the building I felt more at ease than I have in a long time. The waiting area is absolutely GORGEOUS! It was nice to come in from the cold rainy Portland weather to a fireplace! This was the perfect break in a stressful Saturday for me! From the moment you walk in the door, they offer you tea and make you feel at ease and pampered. I forgot to bring a bathing suit and they were totally prepared for that and let me borrow a loaner. Then I got a 30 minute facial with Hanna which was fantastic! She was so nice and knowledgeable; she walked me through what she recommended for my skin and what she'd be doing for the facial. The experience was so relaxing and luxurious. Then when the facial was over, Hanna went over things I can do for my skin and gave me samples of products to use! From there, I still had the spa visit to lounge and enjoy the beautiful property. And at 5:30 on a Saturday I had the whole place to myself, it was awesome! To finish, they have a great locker room with every little product you might need. Lotions, mouthwash, the whole package. If you are looking for mole removal LOOK NO FURTHER! Dr. Costello is knowledgeable, gentle, and completely professional. I received radio frequency for benign moles on my back and the non-invasive procedure was painless and quick. There is no reason to have moles surgically excised. The front desk was polite and offered me tea while I waited. I look forward to the day they receive CareCredit, as I have no insurance and paid out of pocket. They have a wide variety of services to address all your self-care needs, whether they be medi spa, massage and esthetics, naturopathic, or dermatological. One of my co-workers booked eight services over the period of an evening for our team retreat's 'team bonding time' at Santé. We really enjoyed ourselves and the staff were professional while still fun. The downstairs area, with hot and cool soaking pools and a really cool ceiling treatment (painted an interesting bluish-green with little points of light, like a starscape), is not to be missed. Two quick points of subjective feedback for this newer business, though: One, I wasn't quite sure what I was supposed to do in the light-treatment room (as cool a concept as the 'inside beach' could be) and found myself kinda looking for a chaise lounge or a set of magazines to read with the beach theme. The other point (and I may be an outlier): I could use the cool dipping pool being just a few degrees cooler for that rush of circulation to really happen in me. This is a great day spa. The staff is always friendly and very accommodating. My husband and I are so happy our hairstylist "Hair by Mish" suggested it to us. The Shiatsu message from Tracy was truly a transcending experience. I've had two now and they are an experience of relaxation that I've never felt before in my life. Upon returning home from our first massages here, we immediately booked the next month with the same massage therapist. My husband really enjoy Nikki's massage as well. My husband is pretty tough to please when it comes to massage therapists in the past. But he said this was the first therapist that got into all the areas he really need her to focus on.
