Thank you to all the staff of Mystic Depot Roasters! You have been my “home office” for the past several months while I continued my job search and you all have been so friendly and gracious. The cozy seats near the fireplace, the soft music, the shenanigans going in between Andrea and the regulars all make for a very warm and welcoming place. This is a very friendly and cute coffee shop! The employees were overly friendly and nice!! They had a nice amount of food options for breakfast or lunch. We had the grilled cheese which was your typical grilled cheese. The coffee was good but felt a little a weak for us. I liked that the caramel macchiato was not very sweet and the cappuccino was okay too. My husband had the firebox and enjoyed that but there wasn't a ton of meat in it; tasted like a fancy sloppy joe in a sense. The cheddar and chive scone from the grill was delicious and moist! Well, if any eatery can make the al fresco dining fun, Mystic Depot Roasters has it wired. We have only been there three times--we live more than an hour away, but each time has been better than the last. We had one grilled corn muffin and one grilled cheddar and chive scone, and oh my. Now I will have to grill every muffin I serve my hubby. These were outstanding.And, of course, the cold-brewed coffee is wonderful as usual. We ordered at the front patio table, and our pastries were served hot and in a timely manner, even though they were quite busy and observing strict social distancing and masks in public areas. It's obvious they are prepared to do their thing with excellence and extreme health precautions. Thank you!We stayed about an hour, and no one hurried us at all. I grabbed breakfast at this place a few times during my Mystic stay and the food was great. The outdoor setting in the back was definitely airy and well spaced out for Covid times. This has become my go to spot for a quick and hot breakfast when I'm on this side of Mystic. Get the hash brown casserole - you won't regret it. The portion is generous, it's cheesy goodness fills you up. It's a meal itself. I love their cold brew coffee as well - it's perfect to drink black. More...

We found this place by accident while on a long weekend vacation, and we enjoyed it so much we came back later in the weekend. The food was good, as was the coffee. Stopped in for an iced coffee before my train and ended up having one of the best sausage egg and cheese sandwiches I've had in ages! Awesome home fries, too! Customer service is top notch. Everyone I dealt with couldn't possibly have been any nicer!! Will be back! More...

Had reservations for 5 on Father’s Day. Upon arrival we were told to order online. After waiting over an hour with no drinks and no food went to ask what was taking so long as I had seen many people severed who had showed up after us. I was told my order had not even been started yet We were treated horribly by the staff yelled at and belittled at this point I asked for a refund which I was promptly given (only bright spot about our visit) I would never recommend this place go somewhere with better people and better service. My husband and family enjoyed a beautiful Fathers Day breakfast at Mystic Depot Roasters this morning. The sun was warm and the food and service were great, as usual. The place was super busy. We chatted with neighbors and enjoyed our time together. Kudos to the staff at the Depot, and all of our local restaurants in our tourist hot-spot, for altering their business model in the face of the pandemic. Other local restaurants have complained recently about aggressive customers harassing waitstaff, and we witnessed this today. There is no need to make a spectacle out of yourself if you are finding the service not to your liking, no one is forcing you to stay. It is unacceptable. Also, please remember to wear a mask when interacting with the waitstaff, especially if you are shouting in their faces. More...

Still doing great even with all the precautions in place due to the pandemic. The outdoor patio area is actually very nice (I had only ever eaten inside previously), with good music playing and everything is appropriately distanced. Nice environment.In my previous review, I had only had lunch so far - I still enjoy the lunch items, but it would be a mistake to not mention breakfast, which I've made a habit of getting more often. The omelettes here are just amazing. If you're tired of omelettes where you get just a tiny amount of filling in the center, you don't have to worry about that here - you get the filling in every bite. The portion size is also generous - large omelette, served with home fries and toast, well worth the price; compared to other places in Mystic, very fair. I usually still have half of my food left for the next day.The baked goods are always worth it - my favorite is the cheddar chive scone, but you really can't go wrong. Also, the muffins are HUGE.
