Before we got our puppy, I was behind Tony's van in New Cumberland and committed the name to memory as I knew I would need a trainer. A month later, we brought home our welsh terrier, Quincy. I called Tony when he was 3 months old and our training journey began. Tony came and did an evaluation first and we began training once or twice a month depending on his schedule. Tony established a great connection with Quincy and my husband and I were active participants in the training. Tony appreciated the feedback we gave him and tailored sessions to our needs and helped us correct our missteps as well throughout the training. He covered all the basic commands, behavior issues, leash training, recall, etc. We also opted to follow up with e-collar training which reinforced previous training. Tony answers all questions thoroughly and explains why the behavior is occurring. Quincy is doing well and I
I wouldn’t hesitate to call Tony if any behavioral issues come up. If you want a top notch trainer, look no further. Tony is the best.

We adopted a 4 1/2 old dog who was never socialized and was afraid of everything and everyone. Our vet recommended Knuckelhead K9 Trainer. The first session Lucky behaved horribly poor. Somehow some way Tony broke the fear in Lucky. The next day Lucky made friends with the dog next door and now he has tons of friends and Lucky is a wonderful member of the family. Thank you Tony you are a miracle worker. More...

We almost had to give our dog up because he was too much to handle, very strong. He would have been very hard to re-home as he is not the best with other dogs or cats. With Tony’s training we can take a walk, without Blue (our dog) pulling my arm off. He is much calmer and very eager to learn new things to earn treats. He saved us from having to give our puppy up!! Would recommend him 1000% More...

Tony visited our home and provided guidance on how to correct the issues we were having. He was also able to give us pointers on how to introduce our dog to others. I cannot recommend Tony enough. I purchased an extremely driven dog who must be engaged or resting at all times. I worked with these types of dogs briefly while in the service but I was not not completely aware of their energy level or intelligence. Tony was recommended to me by a co-worker of mine. Slightly hesitant I called him to see what his experience was with this type of dog. It turns out it was the best call I could have ever made. My 11month old Belgian Malinois with the help of Tony has an astounding recall, obeys simple commands without hesitation and is beginning some more complex ones. He has guided me through some of the most trying times with this dog and he has been right with every step. Tony is quick to correct and provide constructive feedback, and it does work. You just have to put the time into it. I love the fact that I can contact at any point in time and he always responds with guidance. Previously owning 2 German Shepherds I thought they were trained fairly well, but after having sessions with my dog and Tony I can definitely say that I missed a lot with my Shepherds. I wish I would have contacted him when I owned them. Tony is extremely intelligent and provides excellent guidance in my opinion. More...

My wife and I adopted our first pitbull mix and like many owners soon came to know the love, affection and loyalty that our "Pitty "displays to not only us but our friends and other dogs. That said, we were concerned if he was not well behaved in public, we could instill the misaligned stigma about pitbulls to others. That is where Tony came in! He was able to quickly help us get "Hank" and more importantly "us" to consistently deliver the right commands and praises where Hank is, at only 11 months, a total gentlemen in public with kids, adults and other dogs. We actually just rescued a small Yorkie mix and he is clearly Hank's adopted brother and best friend. All our thanks goes out to Tony as he made what we assumed would be a difficult process into something so basic. Tony, thank you for training Barb and I. You Rock!!! More...

When I initially decided to train my German Shepherd/ Great Pyrenees dog to go “off leash”, I found there are several trainers to choose from. I‘m glad I chose Tony for several reasons. First, he has expert military training to handle large dogs and is a genuine dog person who naturally commands the respect of the dogs. He is a professional and understands the E-Collar training inside and out and has a simple step by step method of teaching “dog recall” the proper way, over a six week period. He is very flexible, if you are unable to make an appointment, he is very happy to reschedule if needed. Tony will work with you for as long it is necessary to get the results you want. Initially, he comes to your house for the training which is a big plus in my book. During the training and always, you can feel free to call or txt Tony with any questions, he has always either answered immediately or will get back to you very quickly. He is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to dogs. Working with Tony has been a wonderful experience and worth every penny. I am very happy that I can take my dog for a walk in the woods and feel confident that he will always be near me and come back to me when I call him. Thanks for all your help Tony! More...

So I’d been having some aggression issues with my dog, and no one wanted to help me because of his breed. I contacted my local vet for some trainers and Tony was one of the first I called. Now Tony needed some assurance that I was committed to the cause, so I sent him a few videos over a couple days of my doggy’s behavior and how I had been taught to correct it. So after those two days Tony and I set up a day for him to come out and see how Buddy did in person. Tony spent about 45 minutes talking with me and everyone who contacts Buddy daily and he also watched and interacted with my dog during that time. After giving me careful instructions, answering all of my questions, and giving me follow up information, I have never seen my dog behave or act like this and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. If you feel like you may need Tony’s help, I 100% recommend him. You will not regret it. More...

Employing Anthony Bly to work with me and my dog has been the smartest choice I've made as a  pet owner. In order to write this review, I have to tell you about my dog prior to working with Tony. She had been through two dog training classes and had done fairly well, but she was a runner. If she got out of the house or back yard, she would run in a residential area in front of cars and buses for hours without returning. One time she got hit by a car, and I knew that I had to do something. She also regularly jumped on people in the house and had very little impulse control. I knew my dog could be trained but I just didn't know how. The group classes weren't giving us what we needed. I found Tony on Thumbtack. He returned my inquiry right away and requested a fee that was very reasonable (not cheap but reasonable- you can't get good service without paying for it!). His fee was almost half of what I had seen elsewhere. The first time we spoke on the phone, he spent a lot of time explaining the e-collar program and how he could help my dog. To be honest, although I was excited after I spoke to him, I never actually believed that I'd ever be able to let my dog walk without a leash. Fast-forward about 9 weeks.  My dog sits on the porch with me- without a leash. I took her to a creek with other dogs and let her splash along with them- without a leash. She started running away from the house, and I was able to call her back. When people come to my house, she sits. If she does jump up, I can correct her behavior easily. I no longer fear that I won't be able to control her in certain situations or that she will endanger her life. How did that happen? You have to hire Tony to see how it works. The e-collar is a great investment and he sells it to you at a discount. He'll watch your dog, assess its needs and then instruct you in each step. Now, this is really important... your dog isn't going to improve without your invested time in training. You have to be willing to listen to Tony's instruction and then practice with your dog. There were some sessions I left feeling pretty down because my dog had not progressed like I thought she should, or she wasn't obeying my commands. But I didn't give up, I kept practicing, I watched the videos and sure enough my Mabel kept improving. We still have more work to do, but I was given the tools to make it happen. Plus, if I ever have more questions or concerns about her training, I can still contact Tony even though our official training sessions have ended. Thanks, Knucklehead K-9 for making Mabel and my family happier and healthier! More...
