We dog-sat for my daughter while she was out of the country. Due to health issues, we are unable to walk her. So my daughter arranged for Green Paws to walk the dog every other day to give her some outside time and exercise other than in the backyard. Chris was her walker, and was he terrific! Was always on time, and the dog started wagging her tail the minute she knew it was him. With each walk, he sent a short amusing recap of her walk to both me and my daughter. These guys are the best dog walking/house sitting crew ever!I moved to Chicago in mid December and the team at Green Paws have been walking my dog Piper since. They've also housesat Piper while I've been out of town for work or vacation, even throwing Piper a birthday party while I was out of town, with a dog friendly cake and decorations!!! I genuinely feel that Natasha and Kim who have walked/looked after Piper the most, adore her and I know she is in good hands when I can't be with her. On my most recent trip out of the country, my dog was attacked by another dog and the team took her to the Vet where she had surgery, picked her up and made sure she wasn't alone. They kept me up to date the whole time and took her back her follow up appointments. Natasha at Green Paws is wonderful!!  I request her any time we are out of town. She does a wonderful job taking care of our cat and sends sweet pictures of her cuddling him every day.  But what really makes Natasha amazing is how she is always paying attention to our house, too. During our last trip, our cleaning ladies left the sliding door open and rain blew inside our house. Natasha alerted me and cleaned it up (and I asked my sister to make sure that nothing had been stolen while the house was open). And on our most recent trip, my car was being towed (temporary tow zone signs posted while we were away), and Natasha was trying to figure out if they could tow car to our garage in the back. She treats our cat well and is reliable, but helping us on these other house things makes her exceptional. I highly recommend her and am so happy with Green Paws. More...

I cannot begin to express my gratitude to the Green Paws team! I hired Green Paws to watch my cat while I was out of town for 10 days in Hawaii. Being so far away from home, I wanted to make sure to have a reliable sitter who would not only feed and water / clean but also spend quality time playing with and loving on my kitty. My cat is super social and loving and gets depressed if he doesn't get attention while I'm away. Start to finish, the Green Paws team was absolutely fantastic. Ron with Green Paws, and my assigned pet care specialist, Utsab, came over for a quick orientation visit before j left, to get me set up and meet my kitty, Fred.They immediately put us at ease and had so many thoughtful questions to ask about Fred's care that I hadn't even thought of! Fred sat in Utsabs lap during the visit and it was so apparent that Green Paws truly love and care about your pet as if it was their own. Their customer service is also very informed, prompt and so helpful via phone or email.While I was gone, I got daily, consistent updates of Utsabs visits with Fred. He got so much love and attention while I was away! Utsab was so wonderful to him, and when I came home my place was spotless! He cleaned all the litter and even swept the floor for us. The best part is that I needed an extra, last minute visit on my last day due to a 10 hour flight delay, and Green Paws arranged to have Utsab visit again - on a Sunday - with just a few hours notice!If you are looking for a reliable cat sitter that will shower your pet with love and attention while also taking care of your pets specific needs, look no further. What can I say? We have an older cat and every sitter we've had through Green Paws is a dream. They treat our kitty and our home with respect, follow instructions, clean up (wow! ), spend quality time, and text us always to let us know how our little guy is doing. I have been using Green Paws for two months, and have had a fabulous experience.  I did a LOT of online searching before contacting a dog walking company, since every company seems to have at least one terrifying Yelp review!  After looking at pricing/reviews, I contacted two companies, Green Paws being one of them.  Green Paws was very responsive, someone answered my call and took down my info and said they'd check with their walkers to see if anyone could fit my requested walks into their schedule.  They called back shortly after, said they had someone, and scheduled a meet and greet for the next day (a Saturday, which was super convenient and made it so I could get the walks started on that following Monday).  The meet and greet was great, I gave them two copies of my keys, met both the walker (Joe) and a manager (Taylor), we talked through everything and my puppy got to interact with them.Since then, the experience has been seamless.  Joe comes twice a day and sends me a text after each walk.  The texts are both helpful (to know how her walk went) and also hilarious, because they describe my quirky little pup to a T! When Joe went on vacation he had a fill-in walker (Janie) walk my puppy with him a few times before she took over, which was great because then I knew that my puppy was comfortable with someone new.  Janie was also great, she kept my updated one day when my puppy had some diarrhea, which was nice because I knew to be on the lookout for it and to stop and get some bland food for her on my way home.Cancelling walks is also super convenient, you just have to email by 4pm the afternoon before, which makes it great for when I decide I want to work from home on a given day.  They also communicate very well, giving advance notice of what holidays walks will not be scheduled (you can still request that your dog get a walk that day if you want to though).Overall, highly recommend! Green Paws is incredible. Andy and the team are super responsive, caring, and detail oriented. Their customer service is unmatched and their communication is top notch. I would consider myself a crazy dog mom with very high standards for how my puppy is handled. I was very nervous to put her in someone else's hands, but couldn't be more satisfied and impressed by Green Paws. No matter what my request or time frame Green Paws is able to assist and deliver. My dog has done the two-a-day 15min puppy walks as well as the one a day 25 minute walks and have always felt like she was happy and well taken care of. Green Paws is amazing. They are super responsive and obviously take great pride in the service they provide. Any emails I send are answered within an hour during business hours, and if after that, are answered first thing the next morning. When I made an initial request, they scheduled a meet and greet with a manager and pet care specialist to see my apartment and where I keep everything, and to meet my pet. Their pet care specialists are awesome - they obviously enjoy their job and love animals! I've had 2 watch my pet - Logan is the usual visitor and Chris once during the holidays. Both send daily email updates with pictures and my cat, Biscuit, is always calm and happy when I return from trips.  I like being able to leave my cat at home where he is comfortable rather than bring him to a friend's place. Green Paws' pricing is very reasonable as well. Totally worth it to know my pet is in good hands! I will continue to use them anytime I'm out of town. More...

I used Green Paws for the first time and I absolutely love them!  The customer service was fantastic and they really were able to accommodate my schedule for the initial meet-and-greet.  I had been corresponding with Andy for my initial inquiry and then he worked with me and confirmed that Kevin would be able to watch my 3 cats (yes, I'm a crazy cat lady).  Andy and Kevin were both present for the meet-and-greet and really made sure to get every detail noted in order to ensure that my expectations were met while I was out of town.  They were incredibly professional and gained my trust and confident right off the bat.  While my husband and I were away, Kevin sent us daily text message updates and photos of our cats.  It was great knowing they were being taken such great care of and I have no doubt that I will be using Green Paws again.  Thank you so much, Andy and Kevin - You guys are awesome! I should have written this review earlier - in November when Nanami and Andy took care of bOB the Cat. My neighbor was unavailable and because of the Yelp reviews I called Green Paws and met Andy and Nanami. They were thoughtful and gentle and bOB loved them immediately. They came in twice a day to play with and to feed her - and twice a day I got updated text messages along with photographs. I highly recommend them and would certainly use them again. Greens Paws has been nothing put responsive and caring with our 3 fur babies over the past year. We moved to the West Side of the City and had to switch from our established pet sitter but Green Paws was the absolute right move. I kind of suck at requesting our sitter within a reasonable amount of time but we always seem to find someone. If our regular person is not available, we are assigned another sitter who is always so kind to our fur babies!Without fail, we get picture updates or videos of all 3 cats while we are away. I'm a crazy cat mom and usually type up detailed instructions and the sitters never have any issues or think I'm insane. Actually, maybe they do but just don't say it out loud (thanks anyway, I know I'm riding the crazy train)We have two kitties that run and hide with new people but the sitters always manage to hunt them down and get pictures of them cowering in the corner. This somehow sets me at ease. Of course the majority of the pictures are of the 3rd cat who is a giant camera hog. She is super happy when we have visitors, of course, but it makes it better that they are kind and caring and appease her attention kitty ways. We get an invoice near the end of the month with our total. My one suggestion would be to find a different way to do this because at the end of the month I've always forgotten what we owe and what is coming out of our bank account. GREEN PAWS TO THE RESCUE! Finally a service business in Chicago that doesn't  behave sluggishly or like they are doing you a favor. So far we have used GP for in home cat sitting and impromptu dog walking. The sitters are friendly, caring, and responsive to personal requests/preferences! I felt very in the know with prompt text and pic updates. Office is super responsive and detail oriented! They were on top of it when I needed a dog walker the same day. Lifesaver!! We have a 6 year old Keeshond who ended up in need of some company and care due to changes in our work schedules. Green Paws to the rescue! We originally used the service for about a year, and had a break for almost a year. Well, work issues came up again and we forgot to cover our pup. The only thing bad about Green Paws is that they don't have any dog walkers in our new neighborhood.  Hopefully that will change one day! So here are the good things:Reliable, competitively priced, compassionate, friendly, great customer service, flexibleOur vet recommended Green Paws to us when we were looking for a dog walking service for our dog, Ripley.  I emailed them and heard right away about options they have available. We set up an at home visit with someone from the office and our future dog walker and got started right away.  The dog walkers are all great.  As you can imagine, dog walking isn't  usually a long-term career.  So, we've had a couple dog walkers in our time with Green Paws.  They hire great people and train them well.  Every time we were getting a new walker assigned to us we always got plenty of notice, were given the opportunity to meet them if we wanted and they passed on to the new dog walkers all the quirks about our dog.  The dog walkers always left notes about how Ripley did that day.They were so responsive when we needed to adjust schedules, cancel walks or inquire about overnights.  We had Green Paws dog sitters stay in our home with Ripley for a couple of overnight trips and we always felt secure knowing that our dog was taken care of.While it isn't  cheap, it is very competitively priced.  I would be suspect of any company that offered a cheaper service.  Ripley always got her full 25 minutes of play.  In the cold and rain she just wants to go back in after she does her business and the dog walker would stay the rest of the time playing with her.This seriously is a great company and we have had nothing but great interactions with everyone we've come into contact there. Short Version - Highly recommended!:- Communication = A++- Prices: Very reasonable, GREAT discount for first time subscribers- Friendly StaffDetails (Because yes, I am a crazy puppy parent):This is my first time using a professional dog walking service (I just got my 4 month old lab 7 weeks ago). I chose Green Paws because 1) Their yelp reviews were stellar and 2) They have a "first time client discount" which as a new dog owner, was a massive relief considering how pricey the first month of pet ownership can be.The thing that stands out to me the most is their superior level of communication. From an administrative standpoint, emails/phone calls get responded to within the hour, if not sooner. From a walker standpoint, the walkers utilize a small white board to jot down daily notes so when you get home you know what time they were there and what happened (including potty stuff which isn't always pleasant, but kind of a need-to-know when you have a puppy who is working on good potty training habits). A recent example of excellent service: I received an email letting me know that my walker needed the day off. Not only was this email a week in advance, but they also told me who they were sending out as the replacement (someone I had met before and was familiar with). Also, a note on the first meet and greet. Our walker and the field manager came by to meet us and our pup. The field manager (Jake) was so sweet, very attentive, listened politely and took diligent notes. Callie, our walker, spent the entire time bonding with our puppy. My fiancé thought this was weird ("Why isn't she talking to us?"), but it was clear Cailie knew where her priorities were and knew that getting the dog familiar with her was most important. **Long review, but if you're a slightly obsessed pet parent like myself it's worth it.**Green Paws was there from the beginning. I had two weeks off when I first brought my puppy, Utley, home. After that I needed a dog walking service and was pleased to find Green Paws. They came to meet Utley and listen to how I liked things to be done. I started with the puppy package, which is 2 - 10 mins walks/a day. I had one of them in the morning and one in the afternoon. This was great, especially because Utley couldn't take official walks until he had all of his shots. While learning to be house trained, Utley then transition into 1 - 25 mins walk/a day, Monday-Friday. Drew was our walker and has been since day 1. Utley absolutely loved him!! I say loved, because we just moved to NYC, so obviously our services are done - but only for the fact that we're not in Chicago anymore. About Green Paws: The company was great! They let me know if Drew or sub dog walker was running late (which rarely happened). I was able to change times or dates easily with them. One time I had to leave earlier for a work meeting in Wisconsin and the day before I was able to email the Green Paws team and have them schedule Drew to come a few hours earlier than his normal walk time. They are very accommodating. The team is also quick to respond via email. If I had to find fault, I would say it's that their hours to call and talk to them could be better. 8-5 is normal work hours, but if I tried to call at 4:50 I would still get their voicemail saying that I missed them for the day. Again, this is not a huge issue considering they are quick on email, but if you're more of a phone person that's something to just be aware of. About Drew: Drew was absolutely awesome! Like I said I know Utley loved him and I know Drew loved my dog. He left great notes, that not only just commented on what potty business my dog had done that day but also included if Utley was well behaved and didn't pull (he's a growing labrador). He also took note of what my dog's normal behavior was and if something was off, he let me know. One time, Utley was sick and had to be on medication for about a month, I let Drew know and he made sure to call out anything that might be unusual or if he saw improvements with Utley. I also know, from myself or my boyfriend working from home time-to-time, that Drew didn't just leash up my dog, take him outside, walk a few feet and turn around. Drew was playful with Utley and talked to him just like I or any other dog obsessed person would. Knowing that Drew cared and treated my dog like I would, made it easy to feel confident about him throughout the day. I couldn't recommend Drew and Green Paws more. More...

I have been bringing 2 of my cats to the Lagrange location for years and never have had a complaint with any of the vets or staff. Recently I got a kitten and brought him in. The vets and staff fell in love with him. I've never felt more at home at a vets office then I do at green paws. I would recommend them to anyone who has an animal. Green Paws saved our vacation! My husband and I have not been on a trip without the dogs in 3 years because our older girl has some serious health problems. Two other pet sitting businesses turned us down due to her special needs, but Green Paws introduced us to Kelli who took care of our two dogs and two cats in our home while we were in Spain for a week. Our older dog needs three pills a day, she's a finicky eater, and she can't always make it outside to pee and poo. None of this phased Kelli and she handled our older dog's dogs special needs while attending to everyone else too. Our younger dog got even more attention and walks than my husband and I are able to give him when we are home. We returned after 8 days to 4 happy, healthy pets, who didn't even miss us and the house was as just clean as we'd left it, which is not easy to maintain with four pets. My husband thinks that our younger dog likes Kelli more than him now! (Probably because she walks him for longer :-) The pricing was also much more reasonable that I was expecting when initially researching pet sitting. Frankly, for as great as the service was, I would have paid more.Thank you Green Paws and Kelli for letting my husband and I go on vacation! Green Paws is great! We learned about them through our greyhound rescue group -- to which they donate $50 for every new customer that GO recommends. Our boy absolutely adores his walker Karolyn and I think getting to see her every day was a big part of his successful transition to being alone in the house all day (for the first 5 years we had him he was only alone for a few hours each afternoon). The customer service folks via email are very friendly and responsive and the automatic billing system is very convenient. Green Paws is also very supportive of rescue efforts - they will walk foster dogs for free, and they are super accommodating when we are dogsitting for friends and so have 2 to walk. My dog Bridgette is depressed. She misses Brian, her friend. We recently relocated out of state and miss the care and love our dog received every day from her walker Brian. We used Chicago Green Paws for daily walks for almost a year, and could not have been happier. The staff (and especially Brian) became part of the family. Even when our dog had major back surgery and could not go on her daily walks for a few weeks, Brian would stop by when he wasn't working just to spend some time with Bridgette. Everyone we ever had contact with at Green Paws Chicago was fantastic - a true top-notch organization from the top down. Green Paws is THE BEST!  If it's any indicator, I'm an absolute nut job about my dogs.  I'd never had a dogwalking service before . . . 'cause I'm so paranoid!  But, the time came and there was no choice.  It didn't take long at all for me to know I could trust Green Paws with my pups.  Everything was cemented one day when I stayed home from work sick.  I went ahead and kept that day's scheduled walk and when the dog walker came, my dogs ran to her like she would any of my friends or family.  So much love!  That's when I knew for sure Green Paws was the right choice!They're extremely organized and super-friendly.  Always in communication about anything that may come up.  Most importantly, they take excellent care of my dogs.I would recommend Green Paws to anyone looking for friendly, reliable, and affordable dog walkers. I would highly recommend Green Paws to anyone and everyone. I believe I was one of their first customers after I adopted an abused and stray dog. They walked me through so much of my first few months with my dog and provided, not only great care, but continued guidance (for me) and love and training for the dog. They're extremely reliable and trustworthy. Anytime you're letting somebody into your home you pray for good treatment of your animal and respect for your home and property as well. I contacted them on short notice and they were able to watch my dog and cat for 3 days. A manager and the nice lady named Wolfie came over to meet them, my dog instantly loved Wolfie and sat next to hear for most of our meeting. She walked my dog several times a day and wrote a summary of their walks, what they did, where they went, and what other dogs they met. These guys are awesome. I had a last minute trip come up and needed someone last minute for a couple days in a row. They got me set up in a hurry and even came out to meet and greet my dog and I before walking him the first time. When I see the dog walkers around with other dogs, you can tell they legitimately love their jobs and treat the dogs they are walking like they are their very own.Their pricing is very reasonable. Green Paws is great! I've been using them since I adopted Alex in April. I've used both their monthly and a la carte services, and their customer service is amazing. Alex is always calmer and happier when she has a visit from Jen, and I love that Green Paws was not pushy when I switched from 5x/week to CareOnCall. They also worked with me when I switched from in-office work to work-from-home suddenly without penalizing me for switching plans. I seldom go anywhere where my dog can't go but there have been a few days here and there where I needed a sitter. John at Green Paws is so diligent and responsive, he put me at ease from the beginning. He brought two dog walkers with him to meet me and Mr. Squiggles. They were firm but friendly with him in front of me rather than just babying him which I appreciated. Our go to dog-walker used to be Rob but in the recent past it's been Jamie. They were both great and followed instructions to a T. They left detailed notes and nothing was ever out of place. There was an instance where Mr. Squiggles got into the garbage and ate something he wasn't supposed to. He got sick and knowing I was away for a few hours Green Paws came back to check on him and even texted and called me to tell me about his upset stomach. My husband and I are totally crazy about our sweet, yet hyper, pit-mix, Muriel.  We usually are able to take care of her on our own, or leave her with good friends if we are going away, but within the past year when our work schedules have picked up, we have relied on sweet Jamie to walk her during the day.  The funny thing is we have never met Jamie face to face, we only know her from the detailed notes she leaves and the fact that Muriel seems so much happier on the days when Jamie walks her.  More recently we needed to leave town for the weekend, when I reached out to Andy who does the customer service, he told us that he would make something work.  We left on Friday evening at 5PM and Alan another Green Paws employee was able to pick Muriel up, and take her for the weekend.  He texted us right away to let us know when she had been picked up and made sure to ask feeding instructions.  He was very communicative and friendly and was even kind enough to text us a photo of Muriel with a HUGE grin on her face once she was at his apartment and all settled.  When we picked Muriel up on Sunday she had obviously been well-exercised, and had felt safe.  She was so happy and fell asleep almost immediately after returning home.  We have counted on Green Paws for nearly a year now for various situations and we continue to trust them.  They are great at communicating what went on during Muriel's walks and stays away from us.  I completely trust their staff in my home when we are not there and I trust them with our most valued family member, Muriel.  I highly recommend Green Paws to anyone who loves their pet like crazy. I've been using Green Paws for about two years now, and in that space of time, I've seen the business grow, which is terrific.  Considering everyone I've worked with has been incredibly friendly and accommodating, I really want to see them succeed.  Last week I was prepared to write one of those "sadly, my relationship with - insert name here - has to end, because of a bad experience" reviews, but thanks to the excellent customer service I received from Al, Green Paws' owner, that negative review changed to a solid five stars today.  You see, because of the rapid expansion of GP's customer base, particularly in my neighborhood (Logan Square), it was becoming increasingly difficult for me to schedule last minute walks for my dog.  I don't have a regular work schedule, and often ask for walks the night before I need them.  The company could usually accommodate my needs in the past, but recently, there have been more exceptions to that rule as Green Paws has become increasingly busy.  Last week I asked to have my dog walked over Memorial Day weekend, not thinking that this would (of course) be a busy time for them, and was told that their schedule was full, which left me in a bit of a bind.  Shortly thereafter, however, I was contacted by Al, who not only managed to squeeze me into the busy weekend schedule, but also offered to give me the names of other dog walking companies that he trusted, and that would be able to schedule walks on a shorter notice, if I didn't think I could work with Green Paws any longer.  That, to me, is the highest mark in customer service: the willingness to lose a paying customer (albeit one who does not use Green Paws on a daily basis) so that said customer can be better served elsewhere.  Because of Al's readiness to go the extra mile, I really do hope to continue my relationship with his company.  Not only is he kind and funny - we spoke on the phone, and you can tell he's a real mensch - but I've met quite a few of Green Paws' walkers and they're all, without exception, kind to my dog and I trust them with him and in my home.   I've had crummy experiences in the past with dog walking companies that were just plain unreliable or sketchy, but Green Paws is well-run, and it shows, both in the reviews you see here, and also in its rapid and well-deserved growth! Don't listen to any negative reviews on this company; they really are the VERY BEST. I have never had an issue and have gone through several dog services as my husband and have had dogs for the past 15 years. Green Paws boards and walks my 2 dogs and there is no one I would trust more with my animals. Our dogs are like our children and I am very paranoid about who watches them or takes care of them when I cannot. I proudly recommend them to everyone I know and people are always thanking me for the great referral as they are more than satisfied with Green Paws.
