Loki is our 1 year old husky. He gets anxious when being groomed. Grateful pet has been so patient with him. Today he went with a little help from the vet and came back looking like a new dog- amazing. Taz our 100 pound lab also goes and looks fabulous. They are also reasonably priced. We give them 5 stars - 10 if we could! ♥️🐶♥️ More...

DO NOT take your pet to Grateful Pet grooming salon on secor road. I have given them SO MANY chances with my pup. He never minded going to the groomers but we decided to change where we went due to the location. Now he is absolutely TERRIFIED to go & will shake and cry until I pick him up. A couple months ago I decided to start cutting his hair at home because they clipped his nails (after I made it very clear I did not want them to) & cut the pad of his paw where he was bleeding and wouldn’t walk on it for days. At first I figured it was because he was moving & they couldn’t do it while he was moving his paw. However, if that were the case why keep clipping his nails? As I was picking him up, I noticed one of the groomers SLAP another dog on the table for not coorporating with her. I filed a complaint & the groomer was terminated. That was the end of it for me until I found out they were under new management. However, I don’t believe that is the case now. My dog has been itching/scratching his ears and whining. My boyfriend decided to check tonight because he was scratching so bad. We found blood & pus in his ears because they waxed his ears and did not check the temperature of the wax before using it. My dog now has infections in BOTH ears due to this. To my knowledge they have always cleaned his ears the correct way & used the powder to do it. As a cosmetologist who uses wax on skin, I know what a burn looks like. I’m not sure if they got lazy or decided he had too much hair to pull out, but regardless, you ALWAYS check the temperature of wax before using it on the skin. I can tell my dog is in pain because he has been whining since I picked him up from the groomer & has been messing with his ears. He’s not usually one to scratch at his ears or rub his face in the carpet so I know he’s uncomfortable. I am so extremely angry & so sad for my pup that he had to go through that. It’s so hard to find a reputable groomer who will treat your dog like their own. I’m making this post so no one else or their dog has to go through it in the future. I promise you do NOT want to take your animal here. More...
