Gateway Security Service is a client oriented company that relies on GPS tracking to insure security officers are at their post assignments with additional supervision provided by mobile field supervisors.

What do you love most about your job?
Gateway Security Service provides security for every type of organization and special event, labor disturbances, etc. Every day presents an opportunity to provide a needed service to a new customer.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After a law enforcement career, St. Louis County law enforcement Coordinator and Chief of Police in Berkeley, I started Stoehner Security in 1977 which I sold to a national Company in 2005. In 2010 I joined Christopher Smith, a longtime associate, in converting his existing sole proprietorship into an LLC utilizing the existing name, Gateway Security Service. Between Chris and I we possess in excess of five decades in providing private security throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area.

Gateway Security Service is a client-oriented company. We monitor our security officers via GPS to insure they are performing as desired. More importantly, Gateway Security sets a very high standard when hiring security officers, we reject eight out of ten applicants. After selection, Gateway Security's officers receive a completive wage and a comprehensive benefit package. The theory is simple, take care of your officers and they will take care of your customers.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Like everyone, Gateway Security Service has adapted to Covid-19. Several customers. health care facilities, require immunizations, while many require masking.

Mobile Patrol Services
Gateway Security Service provides a service where a security officer, operating a marked patrol vehicle, is shared amongst multiple users. This lowers the cost of security for customers not requiring a dedicated security officer.
