How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?

We believe it begins with the initial conversation, getting to know their personalities, particular food experiences, emotion evoked from a particular food experience. That information alone allows us to craft a menu that will fulfill and hopefully exceed expectations.

What do you love most about your job?

The relationships that have been built with clients and our team.
We also believe in social responsibility. That is why we have partnered with a national non-profit called C-CAP (Careers through Culinary Arts Program). C-CAP provides resources, training and mentor-ship for at risk high school students. We utilize the culinary discipline as our vehicle to help these students become successful, productive citizens.

9 Degrees North has been happy to co-share office and kitchen space for C-CAP Arizona administrators, culinary instructors and students.

What inspired you to start your own business?

My inspiration was from my traveling experiences from childhood to present day. Starting my own business, while the most challenging thing to date, it has the most rewards for me personally. I can say that when I started my business, if you were to ask me the same question then the responses are 180 degrees apart.
As our business has grown, I really believe we are developing our identity, not just focusing on a bottom line, but developing our social responsibilities , stewardship and social awareness.

Why should our clients choose you?

Because not only will we provide a memorable food experience, but you are partnering with us. And part of that is we give back 5% to the C-CAP program. In addition, we pair up C-CAP students with our team to work along side. Thus building confidence, experience and knowledge.
