A responsive web design is needed first, most of your traffic nowadays and in the future will be coming from mobile devices. A website that cant respond to mobile traffic is potentially turning down your next customer.
Engaging Content, no one wants to see a plain boring website full of walls of text like the berlin wall. Add images, videos, carrousels of images, colours etc.. obviously now don't go over the top and have your website looking like a messy rainbow. Perhaps have a few images to break up the text and pick a colour scheme of maybe 2 - 3 colours and stick to this colour theme for you entire brand!
