About

I am currently studying music at university and specialise in classical singing and opera. I also have experience singing jazz, pop and musical theatre. I completed one year on a Vocal Studies course at a Music Conservatoire before deciding to change to a university to explore other areas of music that I enjoy and increase my versatility as a musician.

Q&As

My passion is music and singing and I hope to join an opera company after my studies. Being able to use what I have learnt and continue to learn to teach and inspire others will be so rewarding. We will all be learning from the experience, together we can discover lots of new music and I can shape each lesson so that you feel you are getting the most out of each session.

I am dedicated to providing lessons which best suit you and am open to whichever music/genre you are interested in. I have been classically trained for 6 years and have learnt lots of exercises and techniques which I feel can benefit any genre and I am excited to share and shape these exercises to your ability and experience. I volunteer with a children's choir with ages 8-14, I will be taking a Music Teaching module this year and will continue to have singing lessons myself so will be able to bring lots of new methods and approaches to your lessons. For those interested in pop, jazz and musical theatre and for those who need a confidence boost - I have lots of performance experience in these genres and would love to help you feel your most prepared for any performances you may have! Along the way I aim for you to feel that your breath support, agility, resonance, strength, music theory and confidence will have greatly improved, as well as having plenty of fun whilst doing so!

If you live in London I am happy to do in-person lessons if you are happy to cover travel costs and have access to a piano/keyboard. Otherwise I am also very happy to do online lessons.

Services

We will do lots of fun exercises that will help increase range, increase strength and stamina of voice, work on breath control, projection, clarity and vocal agility.

If you need help with reading music or would like a better of music theory in general e.g., sight reading/singing, time/key signature understanding, rhythm, harmony etc. or if there are any specific areas you want to improve on or learn then I can shape the lessons to support this.

For those interested in classical and/opera singing, we will look at the texts and pronunciation of the language as well as understanding the story or message of the song. I have experience singing in French, German, Italian, English and Latin and have methods of approaching these languages that we can go through together. I have recently taken part in the Melofonetica method course led by Italian Tenor and Language coach Matteo Dalle Fratte where we were taught an exciting new method to approach sung Italian which I am excited to share with you!
