What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
1. What is the purpose, objective or goal for the project?
2. What time frame is provided and what’s the scope of the project?
3. Who is the primary contact person for the project?
4. Which are the preferred channels and modes of communication about the project?
Describe your creative process.
After the initial conversation with the client we should have a decent idea of what the project involves, time frame and any other relevant details. After that we gather some ideas a prepare usually a couple of mockups for the client to consider. Then we go through a period of polishing the mockups with the client resending updated mockups on a daily basis until we reach the ideal, final design. We then start the preparation for printing in case it's a product for printing, the final retouches on a logo in case it's a branding project or the development phase if it's a website, where we code the approved design and then upload it for the client to see the approved design as fully working website. At this stage if there are some more changes we implement them if not we take the website live and bring the project to conclusion.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
A general idea of what the project consists of and any assets that the client might have(logos, images, copy, colour scheme).
What do you love most about your job?
I truly enjoy the creative freedom I have in this industry, especially after creating my own company I have been able to work on projects I really identify myself with and where I have been able to express my creativity in a superior way than before.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Professional freedom and desire to create high quality work for one of the most exciting industries out there.
